Project Description

We're seeking a strong engineer, eager to solve problems of scale and work on cutting edge technologies; a smart and creative team member with scripting abilities and with a strong background in networking.

This individual will work closely with the development and QA teams to develop and run automated tests, including functional tests as well as GUI tests. This person will also be asked to analyze test failures, distinguish desired behavior from defects and provide comprehensive test results.

Responsibilities

- Work closely with the development and QA teams.
- Analyze test failures, distinguish desired behavior from defects and provide comprehensive test results.
- Analyze regression tests.
- Understand, develop and execute manual/automated networking related test cases.

Skills

Must
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2+ years of professional experience in the networking/network packet broker field
- Very strong programming skills in Python or equivalent scripting language
- Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking, network security or monitoring technologies
- Experience configuring and automating network test tools such as Ixia and Spirent.
- Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, shell commands, and virtualization principles
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, can-do, positive attitude
Nice to have
- Ability to operate and maintain network configuration of multiple vendor CLI is a plus.
- Familiarity with Robot framework and Selenium automation frameworks is a plus.
- Familiarity with server virtualization and orchestration technologies is preferred.
- Start-up experience is a big plus (Preferable)
- Ability to debug complex problems and isolate bugs from desired behavior
