Job Description
Responsible for managing full-cycle recruiting and delivering a strong, consultative approach, building effective relationships with business leaders, understanding business needs and developing proactive sourcing strategies to identify the best talent available. Recruiter will partner with leaders and HR Business Partners to create and integrate best in class talent acquisition practices and strategies for individual business units.
  • Utilize a consultative approach to work with hiring leaders to advice and support them throughout the recruiting process including conducting strategy meetings with leaders to understand business needs and developing a strategic sourcing approach.
  • Work closely with hiring leaders in various Business Units through the recruiting life cycle from setting expectations on TAT, to collecting feedback and facilitating a smooth on boarding experience for all candidates.
  • Collaborate with sourcing and recruiting support team members as part of the larger TA team to provide an outstanding candidate and hiring leader experience.
  • Partner with HRBP’s and other HR teams to understand business line goals and hiring plans.
  • Establish effective relationships across the company and build external networks to ensure success in this role.
  • Develop and deploy a full cycle recruiting strategy to include pipelining of candidates, mining resumes, selling position and Ameriprise value proposition to potential candidates, networking and contacting recruiting sources and attracting best in class candidates.
  • Understand industry trends in the industry, utilize market information and develop strong relationships with Universities, Colleges and Professional organizations to ensure best in class candidate sourcing.
  • Identify and screen candidates and make recommendations to leaders on the most qualified slate to move forward.
  • Create a positive customer experience to all candidates through timely follow-up and effective communication regarding the company’s mission, vision, benefit information, etc.
  • 4 to 7 years’ work experience in full life cycle recruiting, preferably in a highly demanding technology (IT) recruitment space.
  • Excellent knowledge or sourcing methods and techniques; proven cold calling ability, and ability to achieve high volume hiring results.
  • An Engineering degree with MBA will be preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and confidence communicating to a variety of levels across the organization. 
  • 2 or more years of experience within the financial services or banking industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite- Excel, Word, Applicant Tracking System, prospect management tools, sourcing tools & social media 
  • Proven experience of working with senior level leaders.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with proven ability to overcome candidate objections tactfully.
  • Ability to facilitate a strong, consultative approach between candidates and hiring leaders.
  • Demonstrated team attitude, proactive approach, and good problem solving skills.
  • Attention to details specially with critical data inputs e.g. salary
  • Prior experience with Kenexa, Workday.
