Qualifications and Experience :
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Process or Chemical Engineering from a recognized
10 years’ relevant work experience as Process Engineer in Oil and Gas industry.
5 - 6 years’ experience in plant operation or process design and engineering activities for oil and gas
production and processing facilities.
Experience in plant operation or process design and engineering activities for water and waste water
treatment facilities of oil and gas production and processing facilities.
Review process performances, and provide process engineering support in operation of gas treatment facilities including its offsites, utilities generation and distribution and water
treatment facilities such as fire water, demineralized water, steam, condensates, boiler feed water,
tempered cooling water, sour water, waste waters.
Analyze various operational problems and provide solutions to the operations of various water
treatment units such as sour water stripping unit, pretreatment DAF unit, evaporation package for KHI
removal, non-salty water treatment package, sanitary water treatment package, waste water
treatment and reinjection unit, Reverse Osmosis package for water recycle and re-use etc.
Provide process and technical support to the Operations team, advise on optimization of process
operations including chemical injections for each process and water treatment units.
Implement special laboratory testing programs with identification of appropriate quality parameters as
necessary to anticipate, evaluate and resolve process problems. Review, analyze and infer the
laboratory results enabling to do troubleshooting and failure analysis related to various gas
processing units and water treatment units in case any abnormalities or failure observed.
Review real time database, operating logs, process control computer printouts, daily/weekly/special
reports. Carry out or participate in the analysis of respective causes of problems and recommends
changes or alterations to operating parameters in order to avoid recurrence of problems.
Review technical specifications and proposals from suppliers of various speciality and commodity
chemicals used for various water treatment and gas processing units at plant.
Prepare and review Scope of Work (SOW) for Call-Off contracts for supplying water and gas
treatment chemicals. The scope may include the provision of a Service Engineer from Contractor for
process monitoring, performance reporting and ensuring quality control within specified parameters
Coordinate with Service Engineer of Call-Off Contractor and provide expertise service in relation to
troubleshooting, performance improvement, reliability and asset quality improvement in various water
treatment and gas treatment facilities at plant.
Study and recommend optimization of chemical usage by way of improvement in operational
parameters or control specifications and if necessary, propose for modifications in existing system.
Review and propose alternate and improved chemical treatment of a particular use which is well
proven with track records and in use satisfactorily elsewhere in similar systems. The aim would to
reduce / optimize the chemical consumption and/ or improve the performance of the treatment.
Conduct plant performance tests (gas processing units and water treatment units) in conjunction with
Operations Support, Productions and Laboratory. Interpret results of laboratory tests, analyze and
disseminate the findings through technical reports to management and all concerned staff.
Liaise with other departments within UOPS to monitor general performance of Dolphin gas
processing units and water treatment units and provide technical inputs and support as required to
ensure optimum safety, productivity and minimum environmental pollution from facilities.
Review existing process control schemes and suggest improvements commensurate with latest
developments. Interact with Company’s I&C and Automation engineers on implementation of the

Participate in cost estimate and budget preparation for process engineering or process related
Conduct study on process related Engineering Service Request (ESR) for gas treatment

Prepare the Management of Facilities Change (MOFC) proposal, liaise as Process-In-Charge for
Operational Management Review, HSE Management Review, Process Hazards Analysis. Prepare
comment resolution sheet and incorporate the comments in MOFC documents.
Conduct feasibility studies and develop the Statement of Requirements (SOR). This includes setting
parameters and running plant simulations of existing facilities or proposed new facilities, developing
the basic process scheme, preparing red-lined mark-ups of PFDs, PIDs, C&Es, logic diagrams,
datasheets and other process deliverables for all plant modifications.
Provide process engineering support to in-house basic and detail engineering, procurement,
construction, and commissioning of plant modifications projects.
Prepare and review Scope of Work (SOW) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) for plant modification
project, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up through competitive bidding.
Coordinate and interface with Engineering Contractor(s) for process related projects including any
work impacting on process. Ensure compliance with International Standards, Company Standards
and alignment with Company’s Corporate policies and strategies.
Provide technical guidance to Engineering Contractors to ensure project requirements are clearly
understood and met. Review technical documents submitted by Contractors and third party to ensure
they meet required standards and specifications. Ensure the documents are distributed for review to
all concerned within UOPS, compile the comments before transmission to Contractors. Ensure the
comments are incorporated into all relevant documents.
Review datasheets, material requisitions, equipment selection, and technical bids and make
recommendation to management for approval.
Participate in workshops on Design and PID reviews, PHA studies such as HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID
and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments.
Provide necessary information/ data and coordinate with Company’s QHSE team and/or Third Party
Consultant carrying out Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA), Quantitative Risk Assessment
(QRA), Dispersion Study, Flare Radiation and Noise Study.
Review vendor(s)/subcontractor(s) process documentations to ensure they meet required standards
and specifications. Follows up with Engineering Contractors to ensure the specified requirements are
incorporated into the related documentations. Provide installation and commissioning support as
required. Participate in Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and Performance Test of modified or new
