Origin Consultants Pvt Ltd a Retained Executive Search Services Company has been retained by One Of The Largest Food Service Companies to identify a Senior Manager Logistics to be based at Delhi

Job Description

As a Senior Manager Logistics your responsibilities include the following
  • Develop and implement effective Logistics operations, supply chain management, vendor management and ensuring quality.
  • Strategize and plan logistics operation looking at future volumes and ensuring implementation of the same.
  • Drives to excellence in all India logistics inbound and outbound operations and to support supply chain operations

Logistics Planning & Ware housing
  • Managing Logistics service provider and effective managing of the fleet.
  • Monitor the quality, cost, and efficiency of both the movement and storage of goods.
  • Analyze data to allow for monitoring performance and plan any necessary improvements.
  • Allocate and manage staff resources based upon changing needs
  • Serve as liaison with all internal and external partners for daily operational activities

Supply Chain Management
  • Develop the business as needed by analyzing logistical problems and developing new solutions
  • Warehouse utilization based on inventory norms i.e. Generation of statistical forecast, Calculate forecast metrics, accuracy, bias and fidelity on periodic basis and calculation of various KPIs.
  • Monitoring availability of stock, making appropriate arrangements to ensure on time deliveries
  • Managing logistics operations, involving and coordinating with various & other external agencies to achieve seamless & cost-effective transport solutions

Operations & Management
  • Executing cost saving techniques/ measures and modifications to achieve substantial reduction in Operation expenditures and work within the budget.
  • Coordinating and planning the logistic need for the region and other regional commissaries.
  • Ensuring optimum utilization of manpower and vehicle towards the output.
  • Analyzes technology and distribution network trends and implements changes in department as appropriate.
  • Prepares and recommends operating and personnel budgets for approval. Monitors spending for adherence to budget, recommends variances as necessary
  • Root cause analysis and problem resolution for all logistics operations

Desired Candidate Profile
  • MBA with 10 to 12 years of experience in Logistics / Supply Chain
  • Experience in independent handling of function for at least 2 to 3 years and handling team.
  • Implement safety and health procedures
  • Manage training issues for staff
  • Motivate team members
  • Project management
  • Setting of department objectives
