Job Description
The mission of this position is to strategically analyze business issues and to identify projects and technologies which will enable significant business improvements in the corporation’s reporting, analytics and decision support functions.

The Analyst formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both business needs and a solid understanding of industry requirements and best practices. In addition, the Analyst may function as a Project Manager to co-ordinate and facilitate the work of cross-functional company resources assigned to technology projects. This position may also assist in routine support and maintenance for specific modules in the company’s suite of business applications. This position collaborates with business process owners to foster a positive IT customer relations environment. As a staff member, you will be responsible for coordinating the application of technology from a Systems and end-user (customer) perspective, providing project management, business/ technological expertise. This position is expected to lead IT internal and/or external technical resources specific business solution projects.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • The Sr. Business Intelligence BW/HANA Analyst is responsible for the leading following functions:-
  • Define business requirements jointly working with management and professional staff in user departments. Technical solutions must satisfy the business needs for the future, i.e., consider company growth and customer service objectives.
  • Responsible for the development, support and maintenance work in the Southwire SAP Business Warehouse (BW) , SAP BW on HANA and SAP BW4HANA environments
  • Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly SAP BW/SAP HANA/BI reports support, development and implementation.
  • Responsible for all SAP BW/SAP HANA/BI data extraction processes from SAP and Non-SAP ERP systems.
  • Responsible for all SAP BW/SAP HANA/BI data integration with other systems


Educational Requirements:



Bachelor’s degree in any discipline plus 8 years of related IT experience is required. [B.Sc. (CS) /B.Tech. /BCA preferred]

Required Technical Skills:


  • 8+ years of professional experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW 7.0 - 7.5)
  • 5+ years of professional experience in SAP BW on HANA
  • Strong knowledge of all areas of BW/BI including data extraction, staging, transformation, PSA, ODS, query development, semantic layer development, system administration, security, monitoring.
  • Experience with developing custom Data Sources and enhancing existing Data Sources.
  • Experience integrating BI functionality with the SAP Enterprise Portal.
  • Working experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) data transfer, profiling, cleansing, consolidation.
  • Understanding of best practices in BW/BI Data Modeling.
  • Working experience or knowledge in SAP BW Security.
  • Working experience in SAP Business Objects (4.0 – 4.3).
  • Working experience with SAP Business Objects: WEBI & Crystal Reports development and support.
  • Working experience with SAP Business, Planning and Consolidation (BPC).
  • Working experience with SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • Working experience with SAP Modules: SD, HCM, FICO, MM, PP, QM.
  • ABAP experience in developing custom Transformations and User Exits.
  • Experience or knowledge programming in SQL and/or Oracle databases.
  • Business process mapping and flow charting expertise.
  • Tenacity to set and achieve complex objectives from multiple teams to meet business objective, and to effectively manage cross-functional resources.
  • Experience effectively leading technical resource teams onshore and offshore.
  • Ability to identify deficiencies in technical work and implementation plans, and to identify schedule conflicts.
  • Strong leadership to lead effective project meetings.


Other duties as assigned:

  • Project Management
  • Ensures all projects are managed in accordance to established IT governance practices
  • Foster cross-functional relationships inter- and intra-departmentally for effective project management
  • Assign projects and track the completion of major milestones
  • Communicate to all stakeholder’s updates on project status


Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge or experience of SAP Information Steward & Data Services 
  • Knowledge or experience in SAP S/4 HANA
  • Knowledge or experience in upgrading to SAP HANA a plus
  • Knowledge of BI applications such as Tableau, Qlikview or Microsoft Power BI
  • Professional certification in any BI applications desired
