Responsibilities and Duties  
  • Car sales executives serves customers , find new customers and completes administration related to vehicle sales. 
  • As a car sales executive , you will sell new cars . Cars are displayed on forecourts [ outside ] and in showrooms [ inside] . 
  • You will spend most of time helping customers and sorting out paper work . When a customers first visit a showroom , you will get them and talk to them to find out which type of car they would like.
  • You also need to ask questions about customers circumstances : 
  • Do they have a family ? 
  • Do they regularly drive long distances ? 
  • Do they do most of their driving in a town or city ? 
  • How much they want to spend ? 
  • Will they need to pay for the car in instalments ? 

  • You will then recommend a vehicle to suit the customers needs  
  • You will show the vehicle to the customer and explain its features and advantages . If the customers is still interested , you will usually arrange a test drive. 
  • When the customer decides to buy the car , you will begin to negotiate a deal. 
  • When a sale is agreed , you will record the details on computer and complete all administration relating to sale ( finance forms , vehicle registration , tax , insurance and so on ). 

  • It could be several weeks before a new car is ready for a customer , so you will need to stay in touch by telephone to keep customers informed of progress .
  • An important task is to find new customers . You might spend a good deal of time on telephone talking to potential customers. 
  • Understands automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles. 
  • Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; taking drives; explaining warranties and services. 
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of our current car inventory and use that knowledge to encourage customers to make a purchase. 
  • Maintain and develop good relationship with customers through personal contact or meetings or via telephone etc 
  • Must act as a bridge between the company and its current market and future markets. 


Experience :

  • Previous  experience  within  a  sales  environment  [ any field ]  will  be  helpful  to  get  into  this   career .
  • Previous  car  sales  experience  a  plus 
  • 1+ years’ experience in retail sales preferred 
  • An interest in the automobile industry will really help you stand out from the crowd.

  Salary :   16 - 20 K per month + incentives + PF + ESI +   Petrol Allowances
