Job Description
Role Purpose - Creation and maintenance of IT architectures and e2e designs to enable development of Telco’s IT systems

Accountabilities -

• Comprehend requirements and design technical solution to ensure it meets the business requirements

• Work with Product Managers, CIOs, Business Analysts and technical teams to understand product requirements and platform capabilities

• Drive Impact assessments and Chair cross functional team calls to progress and complete solution design

• Produce High Level Designs (HLDs) describing IT systems changes to support product, service delivery and service assurance requirements

• Review LLDs produced by impacted component designers for compliance to HLDs.

• Seek acceptances from platform architects and Functional security teams on the proposed solution

• Provide design support to components and other architects during implementation of projects, manage design change requests

• Provide in-life support for issues on the solution and assist documenting the root cause analysis for issues in relation to their designs

Skills / Qualification -

• Sound knowledge of OSS and BSS stack

• Good experience in data modelling and UML, SOAP/REST-based web services/EAI, XSD/XML

• The role holder needs to own technical requirements and design solutions around Service Delivery, Service Assurance & Billing systems mentioned below to meet Customer’s requirement (with specific focus on Service Assurance systems):

o Event Monitoring

o Network Performance Reporting

o Capacity Reporting

o Network Configuration Management

o Incident & Problem Management

o End user experience Management Of the functions listed above, expectation is for the individual to be expert/hands-on in understanding rollout/setup of Network Performance Reporting systems

• The design delivered should give preference to defined strategic systems before resorting to non-strategic components.

• To engage in the acceptance of new strategic systems into the enterprise solutions.

• To make the design process as efficient as possible by use of reusable components.

• To assist in setting standards and objectives for the team.

• The role holder should leverage the experience of the relevant enterprise wide professional communities to discharge these responsibilities, thus ensuring knowledge sharing extends beyond the functional boundary of the role.
