Job title: Head-Human Resources Location: Varanasi

Status: Fixed Term Effective: 2019

Division: Corporate and Strategy Department: Human Resources

1. Role of the Human Resources Department

The Human Resources Department provides professional human resource management services to

Karauli Diagnostics’ managers and staff. This includes the provision of strategic policy and

operational advice in the areas of recruitment, remuneration, performance management, training and

development, health and safety, employment relations and any relations. The Human Resources

Department is also responsible for Karauli Diagnostics’ payroll function.

2. Purpose of role

The Human Resources Head is responsible for providing high quality implementation for

radiologists and staffs in the areas of recruitment, remuneration, performance management, training

and development, employment relations and any relations.

As Karauli Diagnostics has a Human Resources Department, the Human Resources Head must be

multi-talented and able to complete a wide variety of tasks. The Human Resource head is required to

provide essential back up to other members of the Department and may be called on to provide

cover as and when required. A willingness to contribute to the team environment by passing on

knowledge and experience and a flexible attitude towards work are essential requirements.

3. Working relationships/reporting lines

The Human Resources Head reports directly to the Management. The Human Resource head will

have regular contact with all managers and staff in Karauli Diagnostics and will engage with a

number of external people including, but not limited to:

• Union representatives;

• Recruitment Consultants; and

• Human Resource management specialists and service providers, including legal

Managers.

Human Resource Administration

• The Human Resource Department operates

in an effective and efficient manner.

• Develops HR reports and providing an

analysis of HR information/trends for

managers.

• Provides HR staff with direction and

training.

Remuneration

• HR Head are provided with accurate

remuneration information and advice that

allows Karauli Diagnostics to attract and

retain high quality staff.

• Ensures Karauli’s annual remuneration

review is completed to timetable and agreed

standards.

• Ensures that jobs are accurately job d for

evaluation purposes and that managers

understand the job evaluation process.

• Provides appropriate remuneration advice to

managers.

• Ensures that Karauli Diagnostics’ benefits

(including superannuation and health

benefits) are administered effectively and

efficiently.

Recruitment

• Recruitment processes ensure that Karauli

Diagnostics attracts high quality staff.

• Develops and maintains effective

recruitment toolkits, policies and procedures.

• Ensures advertising meets all legal

requirements and accurately describes the

position and positively reflects Karauli

Diagnostics’ core values.

• Provides backup support for the Human

Resources Coordinator in the administration

of the recruitment process.

• Provides appropriate and effective advice

and assistance to managers and team leaders

regarding selection processes and

recruitment best practice.

• Ensures that employment offers and

agreements are accurate and produced within

agreed time frames.

Employment Relations

• Employment relations practices comply with

legal requirements and are consistent with

human resources best practice.

• Contributes to the development of effective

termination, dispute resolution and change

management policies and procedures.

• Looks after any employment relations issues.

• Undertakes exit interviews.

• Provides advice and assistance when dealing

with organisational change.

• Handles personal grievance actions by

working with relevant managers.

• Provides appropriate advice on employment

relations issues as and when required.

Performance Management

• Performance management practices and

processes support and recognise high

performance and motivate staff to achieve

performance goals.

• Contributes to the development of effective

performance management policies and

procedures.

• Ensures that any performance management

procedures meet legal and human resource

best practice.

• Provides advice and assistance to managers

to ensure that high performance is

recognised; working with managers to

recognise and appropriately remedy poor

performance.

• Seeks appropriate advice on performance

management issues as and when required.

Training and Development

• Training and Development policies and

processes ensures that Karauli Diagnostics

maximises the capabilities of managers and

staff.

• Provides analysis of skill gaps in the

provision of any Karauli Diagnostics’ wide

initiatives and programmes. This includes

identifying issues and making

recommendations for corporate programmes

such as management development, health

and safety, customer service, communication

skills, recruitment skills.

• Analysis of their training needs and

developing and sourcing of appropriate,

measurable interventions to meet these

needs.

• Develop and effectively maximise the

capabilities of their staff.

Any Relations

• Karauli Diagnostics maintains effective

relationships with staff and union

representatives by ensuring that Karauli

Diagnostics’ interests are protected in all any

disputes.

• Develops and maintains effective

employment relationships with staff and

union representatives.

• Works with managers to ensure that

effective any relationships are maintained.

• Advises Karauli Diagnostics about

appropriate actions if and when any disputes

arise.

• Seeks appropriate advice on any relations

issues as and when required.

Self Management

• Demonstrate continuous improvement in

performance /personal development.

• Be open to consultation and seek regular

feedback from management about

performance management.

• Identifies opportunities for personal and

professional development and growth.

Sustainable Resource Management

• Demonstrates a commitment to sustainable

resource management.

available to the Department.

• Carries out such other duties relating to

resource management (air, land, water) as

may be assigned from time to time.

5. Dimensions (employees, budget, expenditure)

The Human Resources Head has no direct staff responsibilities or allocated budget.

6. Health and safety

Karauli Diagnostics (KD) is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working

to the risk of injury or harm as a consequence of our activities or through visiting our premises and

work sites.

work". In addition, each department is responsible for maintaining an up to date hazard register that

details specific hazards associated with the work that employees may be exposed to in the course of

their work. You are responsible for ensuring that you are introduced to the register on

procedures associated with it, particularly if you are field based or your work is likely to expose you

to risks not generally encountered in an office based role.

working in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with statutory requirements.

• Participate in hazard identification and developing recommendations for corrective action.

• Report all accidents, incidents, including near misses, whether or not these events involve injury

or harm as soon as practicable so that remedial action can be taken.

Part two: person specification

1. Qualifications, skills and experience

• MBA with vast industry experience /qualification or relevant experience working in

an employment-related law and human resources management practice.

• Previous experience in a generalist human resource role.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively, both verbally and

in writing, with a wide range of people at all levels.

• Experience in Managerial capacity, working with management and staff.

• Experience with Micro-soft Office products including Excel and Word.
