Origin Consultants Pvt Ltd a Retained Executive Search Services Company has been retained by A Leading Organization in the Telecommunication Equipment Industry to identify a Regional Manager West Telecom Infrastructure, Telecom Equipment & Telecom Solutions to be based at Mumbai.
The company is a leading organization in the telecommunication equipment industry, a single window to the Telcos in India offering the widest range Wireline, Wireless & Satellite Products and Services. The Company has till date commissioned over 300,000 BTS Antennas, over 200,000 Kilometers of Optical Fiber Cable Accessories, over 50,000 Kilometers of Optical Fiber Cable, over 50,000 Telecom Towers and manages over 32,000 Telecom Operator Sites, apart from thousands of other Wire-line, Wireless & Satellite Products and Solutions. The Company also provides a comprehensive range of Telecom Operator focused Managed Services and solutions including surveys, specification preparation, product identification, installation, commissioning, maintenance, report generation, and calibration. Job Description

As a Business Head Western Region Telecom Infrastructure, Telecom Equipment & Telecom Solutions, your responsibilities include:

Sales Focus
  • Meet or exceed allocated sales target.
  • Manage the overall Revenue and Margin growth of the complete line of Wireline, Wireless & Satellite Products and Services to Telecom Operators
  • Provide leadership within the team in order to influence the teams overall growth. Be a high value member of the overall team and effectively employ resources available to impact revenue from the tier 1 operators.
  • Communicate through verbal and written means to allow for the effortless flow of information among the key stakeholders within the Company and the customer.
  • Ensure the ability to propose customized solutions and close sales opportunities as independently as possible


Customer Focus
  • Maintain a deep knowledge of Telecom Operators including Engineering, Planning, Operations, and Network Surveillance.
  • Understand the future vision, business goals, and strategic directions of Telcos and communicate them to the team.
  • Direct and motivate the team to aggressively pursue all revenue opportunities.
  • Develop and establish direct customer relationship with key accounts.


Product Focus
  • Provide technical interface between Product Management Team and customers by developing and maintaining key technical relationships at focus accounts.
  • Advise Product Management Team on product feature/road map to coordinate with upcoming customer requirements.
  • Provide competitive intelligence feature set, road map, pricing.
  • Develop and maintain strong knowledge of latest and emerging Telcos offerings.
  • Develop strong relationships at the executive level in order to influence customers testing method and procedure.


Desired Candidate Profile
  • Successful track record in direct sales to Telecom Industry of having achieved business targets
  • Demonstrated past successful track record in working with Telecom Service Providers is mandatory.
  • Self-starter with the ability to communicate and interact with people at all levels, including executive levels, both external and internal.
  • Possess leadership qualities and superior interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong work ethic and integrity
  • Operates with a high degree of professionalism
  • Effective written and verbal communicator
  • Demonstrates strong judgment and analytical skill
  • Demonstrated ability in managing complex sales
  • Possess winning attitude i.e. being Open Minded, Open Communications, Aggressive, Result Oriented and Team Player.
  • Education Degree / Diploma in Engineering or telecommunications technology
  • Experience At least 15 years of experience in selling telecommunication equipment to Telecom Operators.
