QA Automation Manager

As a Test Automation Manager at Resolver, you’ll be part of a global team, collaborating with our North American offices. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the automated test platform used to verify and validate the proper implementation of our product specifications. You'll help develop automation test strategies and drive implementation of test automation best practices. You’ll also enable the success of our Automation team through coaching, mentorship and leadership!

Deliverables

Programming/Automation (75%)

Measures of success: Constantly provide and carry out improvement recommendation to the automation framework and exceed automation target as defined in department objective key results.

Drive and implement efficient improvement in automation framework.
Implement automated tests that verify functionality, performance, reliability, scalability and security of applications and components
Evaluating and understanding our current state of testing and driving change across the organization to increase test automation coverage and improve our overall testing practices
Monitor, analyze and produce analytic automation run results
Assist other team members in automating test cases when needed
Share automation best practices with QE team to build consistent maintainable automation scripts
Assist in defining measurable testing metrics and build out automated reporting
Ensure tight integration of test automation with CI/CD efforts

Team Building and Development (25%)

Measures of success: weekly one-on-one meetings, completion of individual learning plans, internal career progression

Periodically reviewing how our test strategy aligns with the latest available technologies and industry trends
Provide technical leadership, direction, strategy and hands-on assistance to other members of the team
Mentors other QE Automation engineers on best practices and adherence to overall testing strategy
On-board new team members to maximize time-to-productivity.
Mentor and coach the team in the achievement of KRs and personal performance objectives
Provide regular one-on-one feedback with the goal of improving performance while proactively seeking opportunities to celebrate wins within the team

People who Excel (Your Background):

Degree or diploma in a computer-related field
7+ years’ experience in software testing, implementing one or more frameworks
1-2 years’ experience coaching, mentoring or leading a small team
You keep current on test automation tools and their benefits or shortcomings
You’re a coach at heart that loves to help others grow!
You’re accountable to your team, ensuring projects are completed on time without sacrificing quality
You are a collaborator and able to build internal partnerships to achieve results
You love to experiment and take every opportunity to lead by example; you spend time learning our products to ensure appropriate test cases are implemented
You have excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills (you are part of a Quality Assurance team, after all!)
