Job Description
Job Descriptions:

Project Manager-
  • Responsible for providing end-to-end project management on the supporting multiple projects
  • Key job duties include owning and managing the implementation plan chasing the stakeholders and IT on the various tasks like project selection, system delivery, system implementation, etc.
  • Highlighting risks, delays, potential issues on a proactive basis on the overall IT implementation plan.
  • Responsibility for ensuring that the required key program tasks &
  • checks are incorporated where applicable and that various implementation streams are managed via tight project management controls


JOB CONTEXT/DIMENSIONS
  • The jobholder will serve as the key member supporting and manage to end users and project stakeholders.
  • He/She would be formulating and tracking project plans, tasks and all the activities end to end.
  • Apt in project and stakeholder management, clear and crisp communication,
  • Presenting and leading the IT implementation review for the streams.
  • Daily and weekly status reports and tracking for system implementation.
  • Hiring and managing team activities tracking as per plan and actual.
  • Highlighting delays, risks, and potential issues on a regular basis from a system implementation perspective.

Tools used:
1. Microsoft MPP Adept user.
2. PowerPoint & Excel Adept user.

Education & Experience
  • BS/BA Degree in Finance, Management or similar is required
  • Financial Services migration required
  • Masters degree in Business Administration, or related field, is preferred
  • 10 years of Project Management experience, specifically managing large stakeholders in the implementation of systems in APAC.


Specific Knowledge
  • Overview and hands-on systems implementation in the portals and products development market.
  • Strong understanding of migration SDLC and overall process of system implementation in APAC.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder capabilities.
  • Experience in interfacing with senior management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills & presentation skills
  • Able to build effective relationships with business and support department leadership at all levels, with experience in initiating and facilitating discussions with multiple stakeholders, leading to effective and efficient issue resolution
  • Financial services industry experience in APAC
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and best practices and accounting / financial practices
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing large, complex projects in the financial services sector.


Other skills/competencies
  • Strong interpersonal, people management and facilitation skills (tact and diplomacy, influencing skills and overall sensitivity to the implications of change).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
  • Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person
  • PC proficiency required: MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, QPR, and related tools
  • Fosters teamwork and high productivity output of team members by exhibiting strong management and leadership skills
