Job Description
Oracle Finance Functional Analyst

The Oracle Finance Functional Analyst position combines business knowledge and an understanding of the inner-workings and configuration options of multiple Oracle Financials modules in Oracle Fusion or EBS. Understand and Analyze the business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions based on the Oracle EBS/Fusion Architecture that enable the organization to achieve its goals. This role will facilitate and improve communication between business and technical resources, so candidate must have the ability to coordinate, interact and work with different teams for the delivery of the solution.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business partners and onsite IT Analysts to understand and translate finance requirements into Finance Functional Specifications and Design.

• Work closely with technical team to hand off the functional design and support in technical design and Development of the solution.

• Test the solutions and drive SIT/UAT and support deployment after go live.

• Act as a Subject Matter Expert(SME) in production operations, identify the root cause of issues, recommends and implement the solution for uninterrupted production operations

• Liaise with Oracle on the production issues and product bugs

Key Competencies and Skills:

• Must have at least 6 to 8 years of working experience in Oracle Applications Suite in the Finance Modules and very good understanding of Oracle tech stack.

• Experience in at least 2 to 3 full cycle Implementations in Oracle Financial Application Suite, experience in Designing Interface / Authoring functional design documents for Extensions/Interface/Conversion is must.

• Minimum 1 to 2 implementation or Support project experience in Oracle Fusion Financial Applications as Fusion Finance Functional Consultant

• Expertise in utilizing reporting technologies to define value added reports, need to be an expert in – OTBI, SmartView, and Financial Reporting Studio

• Strong understanding and in-depth hands on experience in the following areas is a Must.

o Oracle EBS/Fusion Financials in GL, AP, AR, CM, Project Accounting and Fixed Assets supporting Multiple interfaces with Various Middleware applications.

o Experience with Multi-Org setup (COA, Set of books, legal entities, operating units)

o Foreign currency, SLA, Tax Reporting

• Proficiency/knowledge in multiple business processes:

o General Ledger (GL)

o Order-to-Cash (OTC)

o Procure-to-Pay (PTP)

o Fixed Asset Management (FA)

o Budgeting

o Cash Management

• Able to lead cross functional discussions to analyze the requirements and brainstorm the solutions

• Experience in preparation of Test Scripts / BR100 and Test Execution in functional testing/system integration testing.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline. Chartered Accountant or ICWA will be highly preferred

Additional Information:

Preferred skills:

• Good understanding of Agile Development Process.

• Experience in working Configuration Management and Incident Management

• Good understanding of Fusion Applications and Tech Stack.

• Should have Oracle EBS Financials Management Certification; Cloud Financials certification is preferred

• 6 to 8 years of experience working with Oracle EBS Financials; professional who has transitioned to Oracle Cloud Financials, coming from the Oracle EBS space

Hands on experience in basic SQL and PL/SQL
