Experience :

Responsible for the full administration of all complex server farms. Provide highest level of technical advice on Server Administration and management.
Provide guidance to business units on licensing requirements for individual software licence requests under CGI’s agreements with Oracle with the support and guidance of the Oracle Supplier Manager.
Collaborate with the IT Asset Management team to prepare inventory/consumption reports for contract amendments/renewals.
Manage the provisioning of licences under Oracle licensing agreements. Input the licences issued to BU requesters in spreadsheets/software inventory tools to maintain accurate records of Oracle software licences provided to BU requesters.
Maintain intranet pages providing information to all CGI members on Oracle licensing agreements, including contacts, pricing, products covered, etc. Communicate with business unit stakeholders to verify the accuracy of deployment vs entitlement data.
Assess and document the impact of inventory/consumption/forecast data on cost allocations to business units under corporate technology agreements. Collaborate with the IT Asset Management team and with Corporate Finance to prepare formal communications to business leaders with the support and guidance of the Oracle Supplier Manager.
Interact with Oracle on a day-to-day basis to resolve operational issues in relation to CGI’s Oracle agreements. Maintain an issue/actions log in relation to contracts and escalate these to the Oracle Supplier Manager or the IT Contract Management Office Director for resolution.
Prepare all of the information required to create central purchase orders to fund global prepaid software licensing agreements with Oracle. Prior to doing so, work with the Oracle Supplier Manager to obtain the necessary business approval from all SBUs impacted by the contract.
Provide support to the Oracle Supplier Manager during the contract renewal/contract negotiation process on all matters related to the contracts under negotiation.
Travel may occasionally be required within the region (North America or Europe). Occasional intercontinental travel may be required for specific international projects.

Experiences:

Extensive knowledge of Oracle licensing policies, specifically around Oracle Database and Technology products. Ability to interpret Oracle licensing policies together with the provisions of licensing agreements with Oracle and apply these to practical situations where Oracle products are being installed in data centres.
Experience in IT operations, purchasing and contract management.
Ability to assess the impact of contractual clauses and the financial implications of these on business units.
Basic knowledge of procurement methodologies and best practices in software licensing and vendor management.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and advanced level in Excel.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required. A working knowledge of French is an asset.
Communication skills and ability to make presentations.
A sense of autonomy, initiative and responsibility.
Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines.
Problem solving and sound sense of judgment.
