The resources will be working with Clients internal application teams to implement application specific load-balancer configurations and application specific firewall rules.
Primary role to onboard new and existing apps to the F5 infra along with Associated changes like router level Config changes.
Should be aware of LTM and GTM modules. Add on f5 ASM would be beneficial
Should have TMOS knowledge and be aware of TMSH Command line interface on F5
Should have knowledge of F5 versions 12.1.2 and above
Resources need to have strong customer services skills and network troubleshooting skills.
Interface with clients to understand the exact requirement of application and do the configuration on F5 based on client requirement. May have to interface with multiple client teams like Networks, Application, Firewall, J2EE, DBA Ops as a part of the client requirement gathering and testing process.
Configure and install new F5 BIGIP LTM and GTM Load balancers at clients network, do the necessary documentation if needed.
Routine maintenance work may involve Firmware upgrade, modification of exiting VIP, Pool and iRule configuration, addition of new configuration etc on Load Balancers.
Demonstrates experience with installation, configuration, migration and support of BIGIP F5 Local Traffic Manager Load balancers including iRules and iControl scripts on V10 and V11 and 12
Should have at least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in F5 Load-Balancing and Check Point firewalls with TCP-IP expertise.
Should have good L2-L3 troubleshooting skills including ability to analyze TCP dumps and should have good understanding of basic networking concepts
Strong understanding of the different load balancing options & features to include OneConnect, Persistences, and SSL offload functions, HTTP profiles, etc.
Good exposure to the technology and involvement into day to day operations (Incident, Change & Problem Management) of Network and Load Balancer.
Should be willing to work in rotational shifts including night shifts.
Should be willing to act as an on-call engineer as and when required.
Should have worked on: BIG F5 Load Balancers, Global traffic Manager , ASM & or Cisco Load Balancers (ACE, CSM, SSLM, CSS and GSS) and Radware Load Balancers work experience will be preferred.
