·Performs a wide variety of maintenance and implementation tasks associated with the support, modification and updating of the network, messaging, data/voice infrastructure, servers and storage equipment within the IT data center
·Monitors network to ensure availability to all users
·Participates in troubleshooting and resolution of customer problems using integrated data processing and communication solutions
·Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies, patch levels, and operating system and messaging application revisions
·Troubleshoots, isolates and resolves network problems (LAN, WAN and MAN); performs capacity planning on LAN
·Works with more senior team members in performing research, operation studies, design reviews and technical briefings with clients
·Participates in new software deployment and system upgrades
·Observes and controls the status and performance of all components of network facilities
·Assists with the planning and development of complex communications infrastructures
·Develops/documents templates for use as ‘best practices’ within the team
·Maintains a working knowledge of all documented response center procedures, including disaster recovery and escalation procedures
·Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancements to drive efficiency and customer service levels
Essential Requirements
·2+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of experience
·Strong knowledge of appropriate networks, products and protocols (Cisco technologies, routing protocols)
·Strong troubleshooting skills
·Customer management skills and strong communication skills
·Ability to work in a virtual team environment
Desirable Requirements
·Desirable experience with: Infoblox, or similar DDI tool
·Available to travel occasionally
