Job Description
NetApps NAS Administrator
Position: NetApps Storage NAS Admin 

Experience: 5 to 8 years’ hands on experience in NAS administration

Job Description:
  • Hands-on experience on Configuration and Administration of NetApp C-Mode.
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of NAS - Aggregates, Volumes, CIFS & NFS Shares, Host connectivity, Integration to AD, etc.
  • Good knowledge on Storage provisioning, Data migration, firmware and Data Ontap upgrade.
  • Good knowledge and understanding on data replication - Snapshot, Snapmirror, SnapVault.
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of Management Tools - OCUM,OCI,DFM,On-command system Manager
  • Good knowledge and understanding of SAN (Brocade/Cisco), Zoning, Fabric Manager
  • Good Knowledge and understanding of NAS - CIFS/NFS & Host connectivity
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of UNIX servers, Windows.
  • Experience in NAS Monitoring/Reporting. Performance Manager, Navisphere Analyzer & Event Monitor, performance analysis and improvement at storage level, system health check and NAS capacity planning.
  • Knowledgeable in troubleshooting day to day NAS Storage and host related issues.
  • Provisioning (thin/thick)/Reclaim storage to UNIX/Windows/ VMWare ESX /UCS servers
  • Implemented thin provisioning from Netapps NAS by adding disk, rebalancing/creating pool and LUN expansion, cluster LUN management, port group migration and performance increment by FA utilization.
  • Troubleshooting routine critical issues including threshold optimization, server throughput, ports availability, meeting zoning requirements, one-path down, enabling the path on source or destination arrays, data not migrated, host not seeing storage and storage management problems.
  • Monitoring and maintain Replication for business critical environment.

  • Capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally and writing basic documentation
