Job Description
Plan and coordinate funding approaches, working closely with the programmes team, plus senior management and external consultants as required to develop high quality funding applications. This includes developing budgets, log frames and theory of change in accordance with funder guidelines.

Work closely with the programmes team and other related functions to ensure understanding of any implications, risks and opportunities of institutional funding applications/awards.

Remain abreast of institutional donor trends and share knowledge as appropriate across the organisation.

Lead the process of building a comprehensive database of institutional donors, trusts & foundations, major donors, partners Etc.

Anchor the process of concept note and Proposal development in consultation with all stake holders.

Work with the Head of Programmes to develop and ensure monitoring and evaluation systems and procedures for awarded grants.

Lead on institutional donor grant agreement/contract negotiations and compliance.

Ensure all relevant team members are fully briefed on the terms and conditions of donor
grant agreements/contracts, including key deadlines.

Manage a system for maintaining all contacts, information and deadlines for each grant award and new fundraising opportunity.

Ensure the right skills and resources are in place to deliver against the fund raising plan.

c.Reports:

Lead on the development of annual income and expenditure budgets/forecasting for institutional fundraising.

Produce internal reports (monthly) and conduct reviews (quarterly) on the performance and progress of institutional fundraising against agreed financial targets, operational activities and annual objectives.

Ensure reporting requirements for all institutional donors are met and reports are completed to deadlines.

d.Team Management:

Line manage the Institutional Fundraising team and support their professional development.

Ensure the right skills and resources are in place to deliver against the fund raising plan.
