Job Description
A lead role for the Technology Compliance, Risk Mitigation, and Business Continuity teams. The role will have an initial span of control of 18 employees and 3-5 direct reports.

- The ideal candidate for this role will have a high degree of technical aptitude, high accountability, strategic thinking, collaborative, and be execution focused.  The candidate will partner with peer leaders in the US to deliver services through a matrixed leadership model.  
- This role will have broad accountability through leading multiple software development resources; a 24x7 application production support team; and lead the local business continuity resources.
- In partnership with local and US leaders, lead the local hiring efforts to build a strong technical team that can achieve both the technology and business driven goals.
- Deliver enhancements and maintain systems for software development teams, including the General Counsel's office, Compliance, and Risk Mitigation.
- Ensure team adheres to all Ameriprise standards, policies, and controls as outlined in the Technology Control Framework for software development and production support through regular training, supervision, and oversight
- Model effective leadership through our local project management and business analysts as they serve the broader development teams

- 7-10 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. 3-5 years of leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret information in the context of the organization's interest required
- Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, creative problem-solving skills, and strong customer service orientation.
- Extensive experience with the full life-cycle of application development from project initiation, requirements, build, and testing, to production
- Implementation and familiar with multiple development methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 7-15 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. 3-5 years of leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and interpret information in the context of the organization's interest required
  • Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, creative problem-solving skills, and strong customer service orientation
  • Extensive experience with the full life-cycle of application development from project initiation, requirements, build, and testing, to production
