Origin Consultants Pvt Ltd an Executive Search Services Company has been retained by a Global Leader in Financial Advisory Services to identify Manager Business Research to be based at Mumbai

Job Description

As Manager Business Research your Principal Accountabilities will be as follows:
  • Design, Develop & Conduct desktop-based research using a combination of specialist research tools designed for online due diligence reports and databases such as Factiva, Lexis-Nexis, Dialog and OneSource and also by using a variety of other online sources, especially commercial registries and corporate databases in a variety of countries and languages
  • Understand industry and regulatory trends, conduct peer comparisons, prepare briefs, reports and presentations that succinctly communicate key information to management
  • Evaluate, interpret, and synthe company, industry, economic, and other information derived from a wide range of external information sources; provide value-added information to teams working on quick turnaround projects
  • Conduct Primary & Secondary Research
  • Negotiate, develop and manage supplier relationships and undertaking a consultative approach with clients
  • Advice Reliability of Measurements, identify Models, develop inferences, presentations based on study results
  • Interact with Clients to make sure that area of concern can be worked upon for improved service levels.
  • Participate in the identification and evaluation of external information sources.
  • Share knowledge of database capabilities with other researchers to leverage research tools and extend service offerings
  • Participate in the development of new advice and guidance tools
  • Provide in-house research support to retrieve core market and business information
  • Prepare internal newsletters by consolidating business information and conducting data analysis
  • Handle requests for information from internal users
  • Assist in the delivery of research skill training courses to internal users

Desired Candidate Profile
  • MBA / CA with 5 to 8 years of post qualification experience of business research using the majority of databases cited above
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to search using a comprehensive range of databases, including global databases
  • Effective information retrieval skills using appropriate search engines
  • An understanding of the current and emerging industry issues
  • Attention to detail
  • Adaptability to a dynamic environment often accompanied by shifting priorities and stringent deadlines
  • Have discretion and an ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Drive and commitment to deliver a high quality service
