Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant \u2013 Cisco UCS Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Engineer in Cisco UCS, VMware and Windows this position will bring practical knowledge, technical depth and virtual computing and networking support to the business and firmly focused on maintain awareness of evolving technology and how it can utilized to scale our Advanced Services platforms, as well as, be utilized to extend our feature set or easily adopt new services. This position will work closely with product development bringing innovation and research into product evolution discussions. The qualified individual should be able to work both in a cooperative team environment as well as individually to create and support physical and virtual environments for network and Data Center applications. Ability to provide support for customer facing engagements and Tier4 functionality within both a development lab and production environment(s) is also expected. A strong degree of creative, "out of box" thinking, flexibility to expand oneself outside of the job description, attention to detail and self-motivation are required. The candidate must also possess strong communication skills to broker inter-department engagements and leadership ability to accomplish company-wide objectives. Additionally, ability to define and document complex designs and architecture standards is mandatory.
Cisco UCS & VMware:
Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures; contribute to and maintain system standards, policies, and procedures.
Extensive knowledge on Cisco UCS server form factors and Cisco UCS connectivity
Experience in configuring identity abstraction, service profile templates
Should have implemented iSCSI , Fiber Channel port channels , FCoE , role-based access control (RBAC), External authentication providers, key management , Cisco UCS firmware updates , Cisco UCS backups and monitoring
Deploy Cisco UCS Central and use it to add a Cisco UCS Manager domain, manage resources centrally, and create all required pools and templates to deploy a service profile.
Implement Cisco UCS Director and Cisco Integrated Management Controller (Cisco IMC) Supervisor
Compare scripting options for Cisco UCS Manager
Cisco Nexus 1000V Series Switch Installation and Deployment
Deploying Cisco Nexus 1000V VSM as a VM on an ESXi Host
Configuring Virtualized Hosts to use the Cisco Nexus 1000V switch
Cisco Virtual Machine Fabric Extender Configuration and Deployment
Virtualization with a Virtual Interface Card Adapter
Cisco VM-FEX Modes of Operation.
Configuring a Service Profile with Cisco VM-FEX.
Configuring Distributed Virtual Switches.
Level 2 experience on VMware ESXi 6 & 6.5 implementation and troubleshooting, with high availability features.
Experience patching and upgrading ESXi systems. Strong hands-on experience with vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules, vCenter, storage migrations, and P2V migrations.
Experience with VM resource management, monitoring, and capacity planning.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in IT/Network related technologies
Level 2 relevant experience IT/Network technologies with emphasis on design and production support of high capacity mission critical enterprise systems.
In-depth understanding of data center infrastructure hardware and software systems comprising of facility design for Tier3/4 Standards, network, security, storage, and compute for standalone data center hosted applications as well as virtual and private cloud solutions.
Any scripting language experience to monitor system performance on myriad of data center infrastructure/environments.

Strong leader with a desire to educate and develop good young talent within the team
Solid process skills with an understanding of change control processes and managing critical production environments
Strong inter-personal, analytical thinking, presentation and communication skills essential
