Indirect Procurement Manager

Job Description
Main tasks and responsibilities

Contract and Supplier Management

 Compile & review spend analysis, supply sources and supplier information

 Negotiate prices, contract terms & conditions and KPI’s / SLA’s for major goods and services with suppliers to ensure best value is achieved

 Conduct contract reviews to ensure their efficiency and effectiveness and ensure goods and services meet quality requirements

 Support implementation of global contracts that support the Global Category Strategy

 Support supplier management activities and manage supplier performance and innovation activities for local suppliers, including issue resolution

Strategy Input

 Support category manager to gather data (i.e. suppliers, spend, contracts)

Stakeholder Engagement

 Actively engage stakeholders and understand their key needs/requirements

 Manage stakeholder relationships within the country

 Communicate Global category strategy to stakeholders

 Share results and success stories as appropriate

Project Pipeline

 Identify process improvement opportunities, and promoting procurement best practice in a complex, multi-site operation across country

 Gather future project list to feed into global category management team

Compliance

 Enforce contract compliance across country

 Support implementation of standard procurement procedures, policies, processes and systems in country

Procurement Process

 Understand local buying operations

 Where applicable, responsible for the selection of suppliers including quote evaluation and recommendation to business partners

Competencies and behaviour required

 Good analytical and conceptual skills combined with the ability to drive results

 Experience in demand management, sourcing and negotiations

 Ability to influence others and align various interests

 Proactive, target oriented and assertive personality with strong presentation skills

 Manage and adhere to timelines on assigned projects and tasks

 Ability to negotiate legal and commercial contractual aspects

 Able to work in a changing environment

 Able to solve problems and communicate complex issues clearly and effectively

 Assertive personality and a self-starter

Qualifications/Experience and Knowledge Required

 Educated to degree level in Business Administration or related subjects or relevant work experience

 10+ years work experience in a purchasing role with a focus on relevant categories

 Understanding of key sourcing processes and tools as well as contractual and legal aspects

 Strong preference for Professional Procurement Qualifications
