Job Description
Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure all Hosting provisions are delivered accurately, on time and in accordance with company Internet’s business customers expectations and that ordering, delivery & support is planned and scheduled accordingly with both internal and external stakeholders.

2. Liaise with customers regarding post sales requirements and delivery; ensuring activity on projects is regularly monitored and milestones are met.

3. Assist the team where required by actively working on solution designs, customer issues, handling calls etc

4. Motivating, coaching and developing the team to deliver a first class service and provide an escalation point for support, management, problem resolution and communication as appropriate

5. Work with the Service Manager to ensure key SLAs are met for provisioning and support and to ensure progress updates are provided as required where service issues are identified

6. Co-ordinate and manage the day to day activities of the team by monitoring and managing the distribution of the daily workload evenly across all team members

7. Recognise and develop opportunities for improvements to products, services, processes and procedures by pro-actively offering ideas and solutions to grow our capability and make the function more efficient

8. Work with line managers and the departments Service and Process Improvement analyst to ensure all aspects of the teams "business as usual" operations can be continually developed to meet the everchanging requirements of our customers

Key Skills Required:

• Proven experience in a combined customer service handling / technical support role

• Experience within a Hosting environment is essential

• Knowledge of the OSI model, switching and internet routing technologies

• Windows/Linux system design and administrator skills

• Knowledge of Windows server OS, and related system diagnostics.

• Knowledge of Linux OS, and related systems

• Knowledge of programming Python and Perl

• Ability to assess and prioritize faults and respond or escalate accordingly

• Good academic background with a degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology, Business Studies, Computing or relevant subject an advantage

• Experience of motivating and leading others or deputizing in the team manager’s absence Previous team leading experience in a similar role in a growing business an advantage

• Experience of providing structured feedback and coaching others

• High standard of communication both written and verbal

• Capable of managing own workload with minimal supervision to tight deadlines

• Able to prioritize and distribute team workload effectively
