Core Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement core game engine components for PC.
  • Integrate 3rd party software, where appropriate, into the HVS engine codebase.
  • Implement core debugging and profiling systems.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of our proprietary technologies.
  • Maintain awareness of current and future state of computer science.
  • Contribute to technical design of new projects.
  • Write clear technical design and specification documents.
  • Estimate delivery time for work in progress.-Identify technical issues and solve complex problems with innovative solutions.
  • Research creative solutions to improve efficiency and satisfy technical requirements.
  • Responsible for the performance of features on multiple platforms.
  • Responsible for tools that go along with features; ensure they are usable and appropriate for artists, games, and the engine-Be forward thinking to keep up to date on current techniques, research, graphics data, hardware, etc.
  • Responsible in Development of Engine Architect.
  • The candidate should have excellent time management skills, and dedication to results as well as communication, coding, testing and documentation skills.
  • Will report directly to the CTO.
Required Skills:
  • Strong C++ skills and multi-threaded programming techniques.
  • Previous Knowledge / Experience in VR/AR development.
  • Strong math and physics skills.
  • Knowledge of shader programming. (cg/hlsl/glsl)
  • Excellent knowledge of a broad range of graphics APIs and shader languages including DirectX and OpenGL/GLSL.
  • Experience developing physics simulations, real-time fluid dynamics simulations.
  • Demonstrated performance and memory optimization skills.
  • Knowledge of current cutting-edge graphics techniques.
  • Prior work on 3D game engines or related technology.
  • Willingness to work with art staff to push things to the next level-Profiling/Optimization of CPU and GPU.
  • Experience with gaming and game engines, Unreal preferred.
  • Active working knowledge of JavaScript , Python, HTML 5, jQuery, NodeJS and CSS.-Experience with VR/AR platforms, ARKit/ARCore.
  • Familiarity with engine build systems and their scripting languages.
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiar with the Digital Content Creation tools used for game assets.
  • Experience with Bash, Windows batch script, and/or JavaScript.
  • An understanding of Agile development processes.
  • Familiarity with engine build systems and their scripting languages.
  • and WebGL or other HTML5 game experience highly desirable.
  • Experience with Scrum, Jira and Confluence highly desirable.
  • Previous experiences developing on-line gaming/gambling applications are an added bonus.
  • Experience writing special FX systems.
  • Experience working on a game art pipeline.
  • Experience writing authoring tools for artists.
