Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION OF A PHYSICIAN FOR TELEMEDICINE

Key responsibilities include:


Patient Care

1.Responding to medical/health problems presented by patients including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment and referral as appropriate;
2.Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality;
Process Orientation
3.Understand the working of telemedicine based primary health care
4. Attending mandatory in house training programs to be certified Telemedicine General Physician. This may require individual to undergo web-based and other training programs. This will be followed by a tele-medical licensing examination which has to be cleared in order to start working.
5. Be open to peer review and receiving feedback from trainers & supervisor.

Job Knowledge

6. To practice evidence based medicine with empathy.
7.Promoting health education in conjunction with other health professionals;

8.To have proficiency in using Patient Management System and maintain all patient related records
9.Keeping up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine;
10.Maintaining a portfolio of continuing medical education (CME) activities.

11.Maintains a professional appearance and attitude.
12.Serve actively and constructively as a member of the multi-disciplinary virtual medical care team, supporting the philosophy of care; to ensure the safety and well-being of every patient.
13.To ensure that ethical Medical practice is followed.
14.To ensure clear and prompt communication

# JOB DESCRIPTION OF A PHYSICIAN FOR TELE-UNDERWRITING

Key responsibilities include:


Patient Care

1.Responsible for making an underwriting decision based on tele-interview with prospective and current customers for health & other insurances
2.Responsible for gauging the current medical condition, the past-history, the social history, severity of existing diseases, complications and current management line of prospective & current customers for health & other insurances
3.Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality;
Process Orientation & Job Knowledge
4.Understand the working of the tele-underwriting decision-making process
5.Attending mandatory in-house training programs. This may require an individual to undergo web-based and other training programs. There will be regular and random assessments for monitoring the quality of your work.
6.Be open to peer review and receiving feedback from trainers & supervisor.

7.To have proficiency in using Computer and CRM software and maintain all patient related records.

8.Keeping up to date with medical developments, new drugs, treatments and medications, including complementary medicine;

Most Important Demands:

1. Educational background- Must have done MBBS from a medical college
2. Able to communicate effectively in English through written and verbal means.
3. Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluation of situations and/or making clinical decisions.
4. Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and utilize approved response methods.
5. Aptitude to serve patient through technology.
6. Should be a team player
7. To be well groomed, punctual and adhere to company policies and practices
8. Ability to work in a shift duty serving the organization 24*7 as per work requirement.
