Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide overall direction to department managers and subordinate staff to assure synchronized teamwork that accomplishes monthly, quarterly and annual financial and operations goals & objectives. • Responsible for development and execution of overall business plans both internally and in partnership with key stakeholders. • Ensure process and procedures are adequate to meet quality standards and are consistently applied and regularly reviewed within department. • Work with and liaise with internal resources, offshoring resources, external fund administrator(s), and external auditors to meet all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines • Review monthly/quarterly/annual NAV reconciliations with fund administrator • Review monthly/quarterly/annual reporting to limited partners and/or portfolio managers • Review of quarterly and annual GAAP financial statements and footnote disclosures for multiple funds as well as capital account summaries for limited partners • Review calculation of management fees and performance fees. • Prepare complex waterfall calculations. • Review cash flow projections and daily cash management, including any LP capital activity (ie: capital calls/subscription and distribution/withdrawal calculations) • Prepare and assist with ad-hoc limited partner reporting, analyst and front-office requests • Assist with preparation of information provided to Tax team for quarterly tax estimates and annual returns • Review and approve all bank wires and A/P payments prior to release • Participate in any new fund launches • Participate and contribute to regular review of overall processes and deliverables to improve effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy. • Various special projects/reports for both internal and external use • Meet all requirements for the performance planning process including goal setting, regular and immediate feedback and submission of formalized performance appraisals. • Spearhead special projects and serve on committees and task force assignments.

Experience /Education: • 7-10 years of relevant work experience. • Bachelors’ degree in related field (Finance, Accounting or Economics) from accredited institution. • Chartered Accountant or CPA license preferred.

General Requirements: • Big-4 public accounting experience a plus. • Advent Geneva experience a plus. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment. • Ability to assist in managing several third-party relationships. • Strong verbal and written skills; ability to analyze and summarize complex information both verbally and in writing. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to multi-task and manage various deadlines. • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. • Strong Excel skills. • Strong knowledge of accounting, generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting is required.

Job Description

• Attention to detail and timelines required. • Proficiency in month/quarter/annual closings in US GAAP. • Understanding of real estate debt or private equity fund structures is required. • Experience with outside administrators and custodians preferred. • Knowledge of fixed income securities, debt instruments, alternative investments, securitization, or other investment products a plus. • Strong attention to detail, and a sense of urgency in gathering, synthesizing and communicating information.
