Job Description
Our Client is world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. They are growing very fast and for their Bangalore & Gurgaon operations, they are looking for the right profile for the position of " Lead Auditor – Food Certification " as per given details :

Primary Responsibilities :

• Participate in all certification, surveillance and recertification audit of third party and second party audit.

• Completeness check for certifications, recertification and surveillance audit package by audit team leader before submission for further review to the certification office.

Maintain the time line of audit pack submission

Specific Responsibilities :

• Lead all certification and re-certification audits.

• Lead surveillance, scope change and other audits where the team consists of more than one person

• Prepare the audit plan.

• Address opening meeting and closing meeting of the audit.

• Review audit findings and reach a consensus on the conclusion during certification, recertification and surveillance audit at the time of auditors review in private.

• Completeness check for certifications, recertification and surveillance audit package by audit team leader before submission for further review to the certification office.

• Maintain the Turn Around Time (TAT) for audit pack submission for Second Party and Third-Party Audit.

• Lead auditor and Auditor shall be engaged 75% of available audit Man-Days

• Accompany audit Team Leader and independently participate in audit.

• At all times, adopt a safe behavior by exercising due regard for the health and safety of employees and clients, in line with policies and procedures

At all times, comply with Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct

• Essential:

Graduate/ Post Graduate in Food Science (having specialization in Food Microbiology, Food Processing fundamentals and Food Chemistry including food analysis) Desirable: Sound food industry work experience (minimum 5 years) with knowledge/ experience in implementing food safety management systems with good Communication Skills (English, Hindi & local languages), pleasing personality and proficient in computer usage.

• Desirable:

• Technological Graduate/ Post Graduate in Food Science, Microbiology with lead auditor certification for any management service, three days course on HACCP.

• IRCA approved Lead Auditor Course for ISO 22000, FSSC 22000. BRC certified will be added advantage.

• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience related to scope.

• At least 8 System audits (of which 4 are relevant standard System audits), (initial certification or re- certification) 35+ days of audit experience.

Extensive knowledge of the relevant standards

• Ability to coach team members on the auditing activities

• Ability to encourage service oriented mindset

• Foster enthusiasm and perseverance

• Ability to interact with all levels of management, consultants and clients

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Conflict managements skills

Strong organizational skills and flexibility

Additional Points :

• Applicants should have information of local market.

• He/She should be a practicing Food safety auditor.

• Should have experience in Certification Business.

Extensive traveling, sometimes at short notice.
