SALARY : 25 Lakhs Per ANNUM

Essential Criteria :


Post Graduate Degree in Water Resources/ Hydraulics/Hydrology/Modelling-

15 Years of post qualification Experience.

Less than 64 Years of age as on the deadline for submission of application.

Preferred Criteria :


Significant experience of using relevant softwares like ISIS,TUFLOW, ESTRY, ISIS 2d, HEC-RAS, Infoworks, mapinfo.

Well Competent in modelling & geo-Spatial Packages.

Experience in Flood Risk Assessments.

Competent in modelling & Geo-Spatial Packages (E.g. ISIS, TUFLOW, GEH, ArcGIS, Mapinfo).

Ability to use models to inform reports & design / Good report writing skills.

Establish & Maintain good working relationships with clients and colleagues and work cooperatively across functions & business units to deliver joint Projects, share information and ideas.

Strategizing and Expert Advisory


Provide Top Quality Flood Modelling & Forecasting Services

Resolving technical modelling issues on projects.

Carrying out technical reviews of hydraulic models.

Providing technical input into flood risk management and water resource projects

Production of flood plain extents maps.

Production of Outline designs of flood management measures.

Mentoring & development of junior members of the team.

Production of flood risk assessment reports.

Production of survey specifications and management of surveyors.

Project Management; undertaking a technical lead and discipline review role.

Managing components of projects, taking responsibility of own resource and potentially resource allocation of others, managing subcontractors, quality assurance, client feedback and ensure effective communication of any changes/modification.

Working to help the clients to understand and mitigate flood risk in order to protect the population

Design More resilient infrastructure and prepare for the challenges that climate change will pose.

Performing other duties & responsibilities as required by time to time by your manager.

Continuous Improvement


Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account international and national best practices, in order to facilitate cost optimization and productivity improvement.

Recommend improvement s to functional procedures and follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.

Knowledge and Other Skills


Solid understanding of pluvial, fluvial and coastal hydraulic modelling

Strong interest in flood risk management and related environmental areas

Have an understanding of land development & national planning policy

Able to manage & develop junior members for the team.

Able to manage complex projects

Fluency in written & Spoken English & Hindi.


About Company

Hiring for Flood Management Improvement Support Centre (FMISC) - Water Resources Department(WRD), Government of Bihar. On Contractual basis for 11 Months,c an be renewed further upon FMISC Decision.
