ENTERPRISE ARCHITECT

WHAT YOU WILL DO


• Exhibiting core values dedicated to enterprise architecture principles that are business-value led, pragmatics & light-weight with a minimum viable product approach

• Evaluating the impact of enterprise architecture products and services on investments, business operations, stakeholder satisfaction, and other outcomes

• Conducting business strategy mapping with capabilities, gap analysis, and future state visioning exercises to recommend roadmaps that will achieve business value attainment

• Incorporating the long-term planning horizon to look beyond the current budget cycle and consider how technologies, business processes, and market dynamics will evolve

• Proactively and holistically leading enterprise responses to disruption through an integrated strategy (business, processes, people, IT ecosystem)

• Studying the patterns and relationships that define the enterprise’s ecosystem and its dynamics and structures.

• Partnering with enterprise architects to create conceptual, logical and physical architectures

• Ensuring blueprints, artifacts, reference models and tools of the enterprise are maintained in the EA repository

• Identifying opportunities to improve enterprise-level systems to support business processes and utilize emerging technologies

• Lead new technology adoption delivering new capabilities and driving value attainment

• Engaging in governance and portfolio management activities associated with ensuring compliance with the enterprise architecture

• Ensuring the rigorous application of information security / cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices to all components of the enterprise architecture

• Recommending the policies and principles to guide technology decisions for the enterprise architecture

• Providing enterprise architecture guidance, support, and coordination to customers and project teams based on common services and standards

• Promoting and educating customers and stakeholders on the use and value of the enterprise architecture

• Analyzing and gaining consensus about the best way to manage enterprise change

• Effectively communicating to different audiences, clearly and concisely in written documents (graphics or text)

• Coherently and logically presenting proposals and concepts to the team, with a balance of authority and humility

• Articulating the architectural story in language fitting the audience, with clearly stated expectations and benefits

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Basic Qualifications/Requirements


• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field

• At least 10 years of relevant architecture experience

• Understand business strategy and priorities (i.e. strategic capabilities), and work with architecture domains to align strategy

• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and utilize this knowledge to educate both IT and the business on opportunities to build better target architectures that supports and drives business outcomes

• Work with solution architects in preparation for Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings

• Provide guidance, oversight and coaching to domain and technical architects

• Review and sign off architecture designs

• Drive improvements of architecture processes, methodologies and services, ensuring the quality of architecture assets

• Develop architecture metrics and plans to achieve results

• Ability to sell, influence, and build consensus at all levels of the company

• Ability to translate ideas into actionable requirements

• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs

Experience


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information systems or related discipline, or equivalent and extensive related project experience; Masters degree preferred.

• Expertise with Structured and Object-Oriented Software Development Methodologies including Requirements Analysis, Object Orient Analysis, Process and Data Modeling, Logical and Physical system design.

• Software and Infrastructure Change Management, Release Management, and Source Code Configuration Control

• Waterfall and agile methodologies

• Unix/Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Java

• Use of standard tools and techniques (ssh, bash, unix scripting, sed/awk, perl, etc).

• IT automation platforms and VCS like Chef, Puppet, Jenkins, Git

• Proven ability to effectively utilize teams from globally remote locations

• Deep and broad technical and business acumen:

 Technical domains (applications, security, integration, network design, servers & storage, data, mobility)

 Business models (B2B, B2C, B2B2C, subscription)

 Business capabilities (CRM, ERP, Case Mgmt, eCommerce, BI, Analytics, etc.)

 Compliance (PII, PCI, HIPAA, SOX, etc.)

 Architecture framework (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)

 Enterprise architecture philosophy, approach and methodology

 Selling skills (influence, communication, facilitation, story-telling)

 Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments

Desired Qualifications


• TOGAF Certification preferred

• Amazon Web Services professional certification

• Leadership experience with proven track record for leading global matrix teams, inspiring and empowering team members.

• Digital dexterity (asking right questions, using right vocabulary)

• Knowledge of customer behaviors, social and ecosystem data, data from the Internet of Things (IoT) and operational technology

• Tracking and understanding digital and emerging trends and technologies
