  • Bachelor's degree in computer science/technology
  • 6+years of relevant IT experience related to application/production support in large scale environment
  • Understanding of ITIL framework, preferred exposure on ServiceNow Incident/Problem/Change Management processes
  • Provide Application Availability support for web/non-web based applications and its related infrastructure components.
  • Good understanding of application programming language .Net/C#
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills on Web and Middleware technologies (IIS, WebSphere, Jboss, Tomcat etc.) for diagnosing the application logs/recycling the app-pools/recycling jvm's etc.
  • Exposure on handling application issues on Windows based environment
  • Basic understanding of any application event management tools like NewRelic, AppD and Moogsoft etc.
  • Strong logical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are must.
  • Experience in Incident & Problem Management Processes :
    1. Provides 24x7 primary/secondary rotational support model in accordance with published roster
    2. Troubleshoot application availability, application performance, or other general application support issues
    3. Ensure service restoration is handled as quickly as possible minimizing the duration of client service disruptions or outages.
    4. Ensure standard processes are followed by team members when working on incidents regarding communication, impact assessment, updates and resolution.
    5. When required participate actively, effectively, and be collaborative in troubleshooting incidents including joining incidents calls and guide team members.
    6. Ensure that post resolution steps like outage validation and health check are completed
    7. Complete root cause analysis and remediation of assigned Incidents within the time frames. Identify trends / observations to ensure that proactive steps are taken to resolve incidents within the team and incidents are kept to a minimum.
    8. Responds on every important application/infrastructure specific events in timely manner.
