Job Description
The Director, Partner Solutions Consultants directly manages pre-sales Partner Solutions Consultant staff providing systems support for the Partner organizations.   Systems-focused support staff are technical-based resources that may build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demos for clients, and may provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.  Works with marketing and product managers to define new and improve existing products.   May serves as a company liaison on specific projects with customers.    May provide product feasibility analysis in support of sales efforts with sales representatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Directly manages an organization of PreSales Solution Consultant support staff in support of Partner Sales organizations for the assigned domain, sales territory or geographic region, often through subordinate managers.
  • Accountable for delivering relevant support on sales opportunities via direct support staff, as well as provide necessary quantitative or qualitative input for strategic decisions on deals.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with sales process stakeholder executive and mid-level management and staff within Informatica such as regional field sales, partner sales, and pre-sales.
  • Primary liaison to PreSales regional executive leadership for the support function.
  • Responsible for nurturing career development, managing performance, and pay discussions of team members.
  • At this level, manages the entire functional area for the region or segment area.  Key advisor to regional sales organization senior leadership on PreSales Support Services matters.

  • Uses expert leadership skill in collaboration and prioritization to direct and influence operations in the functional area.
  • Expert level analytical and complex problem solving skills in their functional area, with the ability to influence as a leader across functions.
  • Adept at setting and driving strategic initiatives in the functional area, as well as influencing at higher tiers of the organization.
  • Frequent engagement with top level executives to provide functional expertise advice that influences business unit strategy.
  • Uses functional area strategy and direction from senior leadership, as well as long term business objectives, to guide work and direct the work of others.
  • Creates an environment that promotes the identification and development of talent, as well as planning for future talent needs of the organization.
  • Expert level functional and/or technical knowledge of hybrid deployment of software solutions, Data Warehousing, Database, Big Data, and/or Business Intelligence software concepts and products.


Education/ Experience
  • BA/BS degree or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant professional experience.
