Job Description :

As a digital marketing team member, the Content Specialist is responsible for developing base product copy and enhanced content to promote and build brands across all eCommerce channels. They will utilize SEO best practices and user research, targeting, and internal/external style guides to create engaging and more importantly conversion-driving content for internal and external customers.
Some of the essential aspects of the position include:
  • Creates, maintains, and updates base copy for online retail use.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates enhanced content to be entered in Vendor Central, Wayfair, and WebCollage.
  • Works closely with eCommerce team members to implement base and enhanced copy for online retail use.
  • Sources SEO keywords for products and is adept at organic keyword insertion.
  • Experience working with a PIM solution.
  • Works with eCommerce, Marketing, and Product teams to strategically position branded products.
  • Detail oriented professional with solid experience in writing copy for projects across digital and traditional channels.
  • Solid understanding of enhanced / A+ copy for products in an eCommerce environment with at least 3 years of related experience in product content development.

What it takes:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years eCommerce B2B and B2C experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with large ecommerce resellers
  • Proven ability to work with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Ability to clearly explain features and benefits by researching vendor, competitor and customer information.
  • Must be able to translate technical terminology into benefit-oriented information.
  • Experienced with creating customer segmented copy for catalogs, mailers, advertising, emails, blog posts, video scripts, and other marketing materials as needed.

  • Part time grammarian who possesses strong proofreading skills.
  • Comfortable operating a PC or a Mac with working knowledge of MS Office Word & Excel.
  • Introductory experience with Photoshop, Gimp, or like software for small asset corrections
