JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will directly manages collection and recovery functions for Skill Education Loan products, which includes a large people management component across geographies. The objective of this position is to develop and maintain the collections strategy and infrastructure in order to minimize expenses within acceptable levels of credit losses. The role will be responsible to handle collections of Skill Education Loans across India. Will be heading a team of collections department employees who are responsible for locating consumers or businesses with delinquent accounts and notifying them of the delinquencies. They work with those consumers or businesses to arrange payment of past due amounts. Managing In house collection Team & Collection Agencies, Maintaining collection MIS, Control several agencies including Collection Agency / Valuation Agency / Empaneled Advocates. MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Will be responsible to track & control the delinquency of the area, Bucket-wise & DPD wise and focus on non-starters. Will be responsible to review account allocations and collections targets by bucket to agencies/ in house team. Will be required to do regular follow up with the default customers through a dedicated team. Has to ensure that the collection agencies and executives adhere to the legal guidelines provided by the law in force. Has to manage productivity by fixing productivity parameters for In-house / Agencies / collection executives monitoring performance against set parameters and daily review the same. has to ensure that there is adequate Feet on Street availability area-wise / bucket-wise / segment-wise Has to ensure that a detailed background and reference check has been done of agencies / DCTs being appointed and evaluate them constantly. Will be responsible to identify and manage training needs for the executives. Will be involved in coordinating and liasoning with legal team to ensure legal action is taken on specified cases. Has to build relationships with key clients to ensure timely collections are made. The key responsibility of the role is to identify suitable tactics or strategies for timely collections. Work closely with Risk Management to design collections strategy. This includes segmentation, tools, technology, geography and process. Ensure adequate capacity to manage past due accounts and enhance recoveries based on business plans. Development and enhancement of an analytics and MIS driven culture to project, track and deliver optimized financial results in collections, recoveries and expenses. Accountable for setting and attaining departments business goals and metrics, through the development of strategies that meet the established objectives defined by the Credit Operations Manager Interact and communicate with all levels of management in terms of capacity planning, collection strategy definition, customer service, systems and process enhancement. Select and monitor all services provided by third-party vendors ensuring high standards of service, cost savings and compliance with Management policy. Develop, interpret and maintain effective controls that allow compliance with local and National standards and statutory requirements, minimizing operational risk Coach and source direct staff, identifying high-potentials and establishing succession plans to ensure business continuity. Build training and career development plans for collectors Participate in the design, planning and implementation of various projects as appropriate. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: Area of Collections : Personal Loan, Micro Finance Loans, Education Loans, Auto Loans etc., 10-15 years of banking/NBFC management experience in retail asset operations, preferably in Education, Personal, Microcredit Loans and leadership experience. Ability to conceptualize & build Processes & Teams Leverage Technology extensively, specifically Digitalization in FinTech. Manage & work well with large geographically spread out teams and partners. Work hard at motivating, mentoring and guiding careers of the team. Demonstrated ability to create and execute action plans. Strong vendor management experience. Excellent Leadership Skills & Communication Skill Team Management and Cross Functional Skills Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and Self Motivated Relationship management with various empanel vendors & banks, NBFCs A deep understanding of financial services across banks and NBFCs is critical for this role. Experience: 10 -15 Years PERFORMANCE GOALS: Setting up the entire Collection architecture, including branch level and central collection processes across the Company. Working closely with technology team to drive efficiency and building consistency in processes. Come up with New Innovative Modes and Methods of recovery and collection of skill education loans by use of Technology.
