Looking for a Windows/Citrix Professional with 4-6 years of experience in Wintel, Citrix administration operations support with hands-on experience in installing, configuring and managing Wintel, Citrix Virtualization and Cloud operations.
The Citrix Administrator performs various technical tasks to fulfill service level agreements regarding storage allocation, Quotas, security and availability. Monitor Citrix environment troubleshooting and solving issues raised on VDI Infrastructure, manage Citrix Servers and timely resolve the alerts and close the user incident tickets. Submit required changes as may be required on Citrix infrastructure represent and debate in CAB meetings, Implement configuration changes, upgrades etc. for single and multiple environments. Create a golden image for VDI environments, deploy patches on Citrix servers and on the VDI Image. Manage the Apps through the Group policies and creating new groups for new application.
Typical duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Strong troubleshooting knowledge in Wintel, VMware, Citrix & Cloud infrastructure.
  • Preparing root cause analysis & problem management
  • Capacity management & proposals
  • Interact with global customer and build customer rapport
  • Coordinate with various teams for the daily operations, plan and execute scheduled activities.
  • Infra management Tools like HP OMI, HP SIM, HP Cloud optimizer etc
  • Familiarity in configuring and deploying the VDI like VMW Horizon, Citrix etc.
  • Provide timely resolution to all incidents, outages and performance alerts.
  • Coordinate with different technical teams from within organization of remote teams if required for finding a solution.
  • Should be familiar with procedures and formalities required for creating a TAC and ensuring that resolution is provided on time.
  • Recognize, identify and prioritize incidents inaccordance with customer business requirements, organizational policies and operational impact
  • Identify issues and risks in the infrastructure and take necessary steps to notify and close the risk.
  • Should be familiar with Change Management process, should be able to prepare action plan, Rollback plan, Mitigation plan etc. should review pre and post change activities.
  • Document all actions in accordance with standard company operational policies and procedures
  • Notify customer and third-party service providers of issues, outages and remediation status
  • Ability to think on feet and provide required remedial activity of all the issues reported to NOC.
  • Should have good working knowledge on Cloud based applications preferably on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud apps.
  • Work with internal and external technical and service teams to create and/or update knowledge base articles
  • Support Operations of Citrix Environment supporting 10,000 users
  • Design, test, and deploy systems in XenApp 7.15 environment
  • Performs systems administrative and operational duties on computer systems
  • Documents Citrix environment, track and update know issues knowledge base
  • Creation of utilization reports that identify Citrix-related issues, and recommending solutions
  • Performance of systems maintenance in accordance with Microsoft and Citrix best practices
  • Maintain files as required by the vendor of custom design application
  • Perform installation, planning and security of computer facilities
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining systems configuration
  • Respond, investigate, and correct problems
  • Contribute to finding improvements in the hardware, software or infrastructure related services
  • Working to agreed SLAs in order to resolve customer issues in a timely manner
  • Perform critical systems testing and operational tasks (installation and configuration of Servers, script execution,scheduling jobs etc.).
  • Support multiple technical teams in 24 x 7environment operational environments with high uptime requirements including on call support. Variedshift schedules may include day or evening hours are late nights.
  • Working knowledge on Ticketing tools like Manage Engine, Service Now, Remedy etc.
  • Conduct Server health check (Basic health)
  • Generate Farm reports (6.5 in UK and 7.15 LTSR in US environment)
  • Sizing and Capacity Estimation (New Build)
  • Access provisioning and de-provisioning
  • Considerable initiative and discernment relative to problem determination / resolution and telephone etiquette
  • Other duties as assigned

Professional Skills
  • VCE Block infrastructure with Cisco UCSM
  • Windows & VMWare ESXi cluster setup & management
  • VM Server management, migrations etc.
  • Server firmware upgrades (HP & Cisco hardware)
  • Windows Server OS & ADMS
  • Windows & VMWare patching.
  • PowerShell, Python, Ruby scripting & automation
  • Implementation, test, deployment, and operational experience with XenApp 6.0, 7.15
  • Operational experience with previous versions of XenApp
  • Ability to translate technical topics into terms line and senior management can discuss
  • Strong customer service and strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, especially ability to listen and understand what is being described
  • Working knowledge of Remedy ticket system; creating, updating and closing tickets
  • Prior experience providing Systems Administration and Citrix support for a medium to large environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with computer terms and customer service operations

  • Degree in Sciences or equivalent
  • Working Knowledge of Citrix Farm Migrations from 6.5 to 7.15 LTSR
  • Proven ability in handling VDI infrastructure along with knowledge of ITIL processes; especially RCA preparation, incident management and change management
  • Proficient to manage Citrix servers and timely resolve the tool generated Auto alerts and user incident tickets for higher resolution
  • Working knowledge to execute the Change tasks for the Citrix configuration changes and upgrade configuration changes in multiple environment (DR and Production)
  • Coordinate with multiple teams for resolving incident and executing change tickets & MI incidents
  • Experience supporting and troubleshooting, servers or storage in an enterpriseenvironment. Previous NOC experience is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems, Different Hypervisors & Server Class Devices
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonalskills
  • Strong customer communication skills, with theability to communicate clearly with customers and technical personnel inhigh-stress situations
  • Knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure and deployment procedures is essential.
