    Department Overview

    The Application Product Center of Excellence is accountable for governance of the lifecycle management of over 93% of all software products installed on Wells Fargo assets (servers , desktops , mainframe , network etc.). This position will report to the Application Product Lifecycle Management Manager. This team is accountable and responsible for identifying and managing the execution of activities in support of the lifecycle management standards and policies. This includes identification and validation of patches and configuration management changes , deployment planning of patches and / or removals of products when they are not compliant or at end of life.

    About the role

    Product Specialists serve as the Point of Contact for assigned products. They are responsible to know why the product is in the environment , how the product is used and understand the main users of the product. Specialists also engage with Vendor Management and ensure that the product is properly licensed and has extended support when necessary. They manage all versions of the product to ensure the product is properly road mapped , cycled out before end of support and aligned to technology standards. Product specialists will be expected to participate in product rationalization decisions and activities.

    Responsibilities:

    Ownership of an average 200 products with assets and 185 products without assets.

    Manage product lifecycle / roadmap which includes the cadence for releases / versions , support of releases and versions , long term plan for the product , licensing information including extended support and an explanation as to why the product is in the environment , how it is used and the main users of the product.

    Approve all baseline in PACMS to be in alignment with the TSC

    Leverage the TSC and PACMS to manage baselines and document the product roadmap in the SOR

    Maintain product information / documentation

    Coordinate with internal / external teams as applicable

    Consult with management and recommend process and procedure improvements.

    Be an escalation point for providing guidance and direction to staff in resolution of escalated issues and / or complex , product problems.

    Provide input to manager on team member performance.

    Actively participate in the development of process re - engineering to improve process execution.

    Market Skills and Certifications

    Essential Qualifications

    8+ years of experience in business systems analysis and / or design.

    BS / BA or equivalent

    Knowledge and experience in project and process management

    Excellent consultative skills

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills

    Demonstrated ability to be detail - oriented , and possess a strong , results - oriented work ethic

    Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks , while delivering quality results and meeting deadlines

    Demonstrated ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management

    Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a decentralized geographically dispersed organization

    Ability to work both independently and within a team environment , with limited supervision and guidance

    Demonstrated ability to cope well with change in a dynamic environment and deal effectively with ambiguity

    Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel , Word , Ability to dissect technical problems , analyze data , and recommend potential solutions

    Ability to assess issues , make quick decisions , implement solutions , and influence change

    Strong organizational , multi - tasking , and prioritizing skills

    Customer relationship management experience
