Job Description
Job Purpose:

Working closely with the client, analysts examine existing business models and flows of data, discuss their findings with the client, and design an appropriate improved IT solution.

Producing outline designs and costing of new IT systems, specifying the operations the system will perform, and the way data will be viewed by the user, present their design to the client and, once it is approved, work closely with the client team to implement the solution.

Key Accountabilities:


• Interacting with the business in order to understand their needs and issues. Providing technical solutions to business problems

• Anticipate needs of the business with respect to technology and start development conversations with the Applications team well in advance of the need

• Process design to standardize the organization’s/ business’s workflows

• Analyze and interpret the business requirements for technical systems (generally within IT)

• Create business case for new technological developments and help business sponsor get approvals

Operational/Project management

• Acts as a liaison between users and technical architects, application developers, etc. in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of IT systems to ensure optimal operational performance

• Creating Business Requirement Specifications Documents based on business user requirements

• Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.

• Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed procedures for records and for use in training

• Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes

• Serve as the single point of contact for the business team and keep them regularly informed of progress on the project, through interaction with Project/ Delivery Managers

• Serve as the escalation point for all development issues specific to projects
