Job Description

Who are we looking for?
The desired candidate needs to work for IT Asset Portfolio Management project. This project intends to put in place an Asset-Centric vision, in order to better manage the portfolio of Information System applications. This implies rethinking the processes described in the governance as well as the tooling in place to support the Asset knowledge and documentation. The objective of the transformation plan being to produce savings at department level. The amount of savings to be brought by the project is a key factor.

Project Objectives
The main objectives are:

  • Reduce IT TCO and technical debt by enhancing decision-making
  • Enhance asset knowledge & reduce project lifecycle
  • Enhance IT service quality
  • Embed licensing management in IT-APM, optimize the license costs and ensure compliance
  • Improve IT Asset Strategy definition, review and communication
  • Implement dashboards to support decision-making process through iterative approach
  • Adapt, strengthen and ensure reliability of contribution process to feed decision-making process
  • Experience the added-value of an asset-oriented approach on a small IT assets domain, through test & learn and agile management
  • Industrialize IT Asset portfolio to support effective contribution and ensure data accuracy to deliver value and improve cost control entity-wide
  • Extend the asset-orientation to most domains and transversal functions to improve project lifecycle streamlining

Project Activities:
The project has been split into different phases due to its and dependencies of other projects:
Project - Phase I:
An analysis of the main processes around the Software Development Life Cycle, existing pain points and first remediation actions has been conducted. The savings to be produced in 2018 have been identified. This analysis needs be continued in project phase II.
Project - Phase II:
  • Continue process analysis around SDLC and address the pain points
  • Put in place the IT Asset Management and Document Management tool
  • Make sure the savings identified can be measurable and traceable
  • Ensure Change Management
  • Implement tooling & processes to cover RTB activities & licensing management

The project follows AGILE methodology; hence the project team needs an agile business analyst to help the scrum master and product owner to:
  • Conduct SDLC process analysis, existing processes and address the pain points
  • Design UML Data Model for the IT Asset Management tool (Use case model, sequence diagram, data model)
  • Analyze business needs, document requirements and translate needs into functional and nonfunctional specifications/user stories
  • Produce sprint deliverables in a short period of time and validate
  • Help to maintain a steady backlog of requirements that are ready to go into sprints for the Scrum team
  • Contribute in daily stand-up, iteration planning, sprint review, and iteration retrospective
  • Able to do post mortem and root cause analysis to help teams continuously improve their practices to ensure maximum productivity
  • Present and validate the sprint deliverable solution and potentials estimated savings via mockup demos with the different stakeholders involved
  • Organize and Manage the test to ensure the delivery quality

  • At least 10 years of experience as a business analyst in a financial institution
  • Expertise of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Design Thinking
  • Experience in creating simple database, tooling to facilitate mockup demo
  • Deep understanding of agile metrics (user stories, tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics) to analyze and improve sprint planning
  • Good knowledge of Application Development, Maintenance, Production and Support practices.
  • General knowledge of IT Governance processes and frameworks such as COBIT or ITIL.
  • Experience in implementing IT Asset Management and Document Management Tool (e.g. SharePoint)
  • Strong ability to understand the stakes and benefits of an IT-APM initiative
  • Understanding of Application and Technical Architecture challenges and dependencies
  • Ability to understand and represent both the business and development teams
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams in a multi -national and multi-cultural environment (France, Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, India)
  • Capacity to communicate with Management in a deliverable-oriented mindset

Understanding of financial topics, basic knowledge of management accounting is a plus
