Job Description

• An annual sales target will be established for the position (individual) as well as for the regional sales excecutives.

• Individaul regional targets will estabilised for Pharma, Food and Environmental Business.

• Collection Target / DSO will be < 30 days
.

Primary Objectives:

To increase the Client base and secure revenue streams that provide the impetus for sustainable growth for the operations through:

• Increased Client contact

• Structured and targeted marketing of services

• Identification and reporting of growth opportunities

Specific Accountabilities & Key Performance Indicators

Financial

• An annual sales target will be established for the position (individual) as well as for the regional sales excecutives.

• Individaul regional targets will estabilised for Pharma, Food and Environmental Business.

Internal Process

• Ensure that the processes associated with sales and marketing are optimized

• Ensure that the sales and marketing metrics for the business are met and exceeded

• Comply with all internal systems and procedures of the company

• Ensure compliance to the ALS OHS&E systems and procedures

• Foster a working environment that ensures divisional quality targets are met or exceeded

Client

• Increasing the ALS brand identity in the market and developing strong Client relationships

• Ensure that the quality of information produced (quotations, tenders, marketing literature) is maintained at a high standard

• Ensure that Client leads are managed in a timely and effective manner

People, Learning & Development

• Ensure that Team Members receive training in the skills and competencies required to complete their role

• Provide mentoring, performance management and coaching to direct reports

Over all Position Duties and Scope

• Manage and coordinate the sales and marketing activities for the business

• Report monthly on financial targets and sales and marketing metrics

• Undertake promotional activities to provide sustainable sample flow into the operations

• Assist in the assessment of present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities

• The preparation of quotations, tenders and responses to Client queries

• The preparation of technical bulletins and marketing literature

• Actively maintain industry and competitor knowledge

• Building a profile and gaining credibility in the F&P sector as an ALS representative

• Adhere to the requirements of the ALS brand

• Coordinate the pricing model for the business in consultation with other managers

• The submission of a monthly report covering items relevant to sales and marketing activities

• Any other items as deemed appropriate by the Management Team
