Job Description
Role: Automation Tester

Location: Bangalore (JP Nagar)

Exp: 4-7 Years

Skills:

- Business / Technical skills: Experience in ecommerce or ERP application, SQL or Oracle- Database, Mobile Applications

- Automation Tool (Web and Mobile): 4yrs in Selenium web driver along with Python language, Appium

- Programming Language: Must have experience in Python programming language and nice to have knowledge on Swift language

- Source code management Tool: Should have knowledge on Team foundation Server, nice to have knowledge on DevOps

- Soft skills: Communication (verbal and written)

Technical Skills:

- Implement of script design techniques

- Implement and develop automated test practices for both web and windows application

- Ability to build automation Framework and enhancement Framework as part of continuous improvement

- Submission of POC’s for new Automation initiatives

- Design and create test scripts using Python to address areas such as software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests

- Identify, analyse the problems within code

- Conduct code Reviews

- Responsible for the Automation Test artifacts (Automation process, coding standards)

- Implementation of tools to support any test activities

Management Skills:

- Work with the QA Manager to define process and strategy associated with automation

- Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope/delivery dates

- Monitoring the schedule and track the deliverables

- Resource estimation for the projects

- Identifying the risks within the project and mitigate risks

- Identify and create automation metrics

- Project Status reporting (Monthly, Weekly and Quarterly)

- Responsible for Goal setting and appraisals for automation test engineers

- Suggest for improving work; Develops innovative approaches and idea

- Prepare and drive weekly status

- One-one discussion with the team members, identifying gaps and providing regular feedbacks.

- Provide support and training to colleagues to share knowledge and experience.

- Help create and drive a training plan (checklist) and cross training within the team.

- Audits on the projects (Process, tools, documents)

- Effective utilization of resources

- Support hiring

- Mentoring the team with respect to certifications and training

- Providing KT to new candidates on Email Etiquettes, Tools and defect reporting format
