 To maintain quality and service standards in support of the contracted Service Level Agreement
 Gradually build basic analytical competency in the team by calibrating outcome with client analysts
 To build, sustain and motivate a high performance team
 Support SWA Analyst Junior in the following activities
o Conduct warranty emerging issue detection and support root cause analysis using SAS Warranty Analytics (SWA) tool
o Perform warranty data statistical analysis to support reliability and product engineers in problem detection and resolution
o Create Evidence Packages and Problem Statements to document analytics findings and make them available to the problem resolution stakeholders
o Drive problem resolution cycle time reduction

o Support ad-hoc analytics requests not available in SWA
o Conduct more complex analysis requiring additional tools such as: SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Text Miner, SAS Base programming.
o Program and automate custom analysis and reports in Enterprise Guide and SAS Base to analytics enhance tool set used by Analysts Junior
o Train Analysts Junior in sophisticated warranty and statistical analytics techniques
o Maintain SWA configurable parameters to optimize emerging issue detection
 (Emerging issue =product failure identified by the customer of heavy equipment, vehicles, and machinery)
Main Accountabilities
Operational Responsibilities
 Implement practices and metrics to improve operational efficiencies
Expert Analyst Operational Responsibilities
 Emerging issue identification and prioritization
o Monitor performance of SWA emerging issue alerts.
o Optimize parameters in SWA to maximize issue detection and minimize false alarms (define false alarm probabilities, define thresholds, create run groups: grouping of data to be analyzed against different sets of analysis options)
o Discuss detection methodologies with reliability engineers to design new rules and methodologies beyond SWA detection capabilities
o Leverage root causes identified during Problem Resolution process to create new rules to automate emerging issue detection
o Observe Emerging Issue detection process and look for ways to continuously improve it
 Support ad-hoc complex analysis not supported by SWA and continuously improve root cause analysis methodology and tool set
o Leverage multiple SAS tools to conduct more complex warranty analysis: SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, SAS Text Miner, SAS Base programming.
o Automate ad-hoc complex analysis proven useful to enable Junior analyst to use them on a recurrent basis.
Main Accountabilities
Train Junior Analyst on new ad-hoc analysis developed by Analyst Experts.
o Explore new root cause analysis methodologies with warranty expert analysts and reliability engineers as a way to continuously improve the warranty analytics team capabilities
 Monitor and interpret process KPI’s
 Guide and mentor Analysts Juniors in their path to become Analysts Experts
People Management Responsibilities
 Need to be a good team player and lead, involve the team members for smooth day to day operation
 Work with managers to allocate workload and assignments to the team
 Accountable for coaching, mentoring and motivating managers and specialists
 Manage and develop career goals both short term and long term for Specialists and Managers
 Provide feedback and help team members in process improvements and KT the process as required.
 Participate in conducting health assessments and improvement opportunities and audits for the project on a periodic basis and communicate to management and key stakeholdersSkill Set:

Technical Skills
 Experienced in SAS Warranty Analytics
 Experienced Base SAS programmer
 Experienced Enterprise Guide / Enterprise Miner User
 Experienced in Analytics Solutions as a developer
 Preferably experienced in at least one other statistical tool: SPSS, Statistical, R, JMP
 Experienced on using point-and-click applications, such as a Web browser
 Expert level capability in use of desktop software (MS Office Suite, with focus on analytical skills in Excel)
 Analytics "ndash data miner expert

 Multivariate analysis
 Forecasting
 Survival / Reliability model
 Clustering techniques
 Proactive and team player
 Relationship management
 Strong Verbal and written communication in English
