Assistant Vice President- Internal Audit


We have been retained by a foreign bank to identify an Assistant Vice President- Internal Audit to be based at Mumbai.

JOB PURPOSE :

• To plan, organize, direct and conduct audit in order to facilitate business activities in a risk-controlled environment. Perform special audit on the recommendation of business line management, audit committees and as required by the regulators.

• To identify, evaluate and report internal weaknesses and highlight associated risks, and recommend measures to rectify the weakness.

• Compile an annual audit plan and audit proposition in line with global audit methodology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


•To provide a view on significant risks (including emerging or potential risks) within the units being audited and an assessment as to whether these risks are being adequately managed.

• An overall assessment on the state of controls within the units being audited.

• Effective & timely completion of all audits including detailed documentation as per the relevant audit methodology.

• Participate in all assigned audit activity in the country.

• Be engaged with audit planning, reports and debriefs in country.

• Delivery of quality audit reports in a timely manner.

• Ensure issues raised are appropriately resolved in a timely manner.

• Ensure early identification and escalation of risks, issues, trends and developments to relevant stakeholders.

• Be prepared to raise issues/concerns outside the normal audit process.

• Adopt an anticipatory approach to risk assessment through stakeholder communication and monitoring of external environment to improve audit planning.

• Confident and courageous to raise concerns and issues in a proactive and professional manner;

• Self-directed and able to work with minimum supervision, escalating issues in appropriately and in a timely manner.

CANDIDATE PROFILE :

Ideal candidates meeting with the above criteria should be CA’s with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Banking sector.
