Area Sales Manager
Location : Chennai
The above role is for one of our premium client dealing in FMCG

Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities 

Demarcate territory on a statistical basis and carve out exclusive territories for distributors

• Scout and Appoint appropriate super stockiest, distributors and retailers as advised by the organization – Expand, reorganize territories as necessitated

• Conduct training programs for Distributors and retailers as advised by the organization

• Perform cost-benefit analysis (ROI) for prospective superstockist, Distributors and retailers and advise on appropriate corrective actions

• Conduct Customer / retailer activation programs

• Work the market as per PJP meeting the norms laid out by the organization

• Ensure all distribution KPIs are met and targets are achieved MoM

• Promote specific products as directed by upper management

• Maintain positive business and customer relationships

• Develop strategies for more effective sales, both individually and as part of a team

• Track all appointments, sales, complaints, status reports, etc. thoroughly for manager review

• Self-improve continuously by way of experience and manager feedback

Requirements and Qualifications

• Knowledge about the territory

• Should have worked in reputed FMCG company

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written

• Motivated, driven attitude

• Sales-driven, results-driven, and target-driven attitude

• Aptitude for persuasion and negotiation

• Expert in time management

• Organized work ethic

• Proven track record in sales environment

• Ability to meet and/or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas

• Ability to create and deliver client presentations, especially power points and/or white papers

Education: 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Knowledge to operate Microsoft office tools – XL , PPT

• Sales automation tool like a hand held terminal

Package offered:


• Upto 7 lac per annum depending on competency and experience. 15% is variable included in the same.
