Job Description
DATABASE ANALYST

Work you’ll do
As a part of this team, you will be involved with:
·        Assisting with MS Access database maintenance and new development
·        Assisting with SQL Server database maintenance and new development in SSIS
·        Assisting with maintenance of existing reports and work with team members to develop new reports using MS Access and Excel VBA
·        Applying SQL query writing to comprehend and analyze complex data interrelationships
·        Comprehending existing VBA code in order to troubleshoot and adjust code when necessary
·        Communicating and interacting with stakeholders to determine requirements
·        Working with business users to develop ad-hoc queries to meet their objectives
·        Creating intuitive, internally consistent user interfaces that meet the standards
·        Assisting with data quality efforts by verifying security information against publically available data sources
·        Clearly documenting new requirements and processes, and maintain existing process documents
·        Assisting with mailbox support tickets and communicate with end users
 
The team
Independence, Compliance & Risk is focused on strategic, confidential and regulatory matters which include ensuring Independence of the firm, Partners, Directors, Senior Managers and Managers, apart from conducting a host of compliance monitoring activities for all the professionals in the U.S. and India offices. The IC&R practice comprises various teams operating databases with client and affiliate information, monitoring conflcts of interest, conducting internal audit of business processes and controls, monitoring data privacy, and monitoring investments of firm personnel. The group supports the Deloitte U.S. National Office as well as global Deloitte member firms.
 
Qualifications
Required:
·        Technology graduate with relevant experience
·        Willingness to work in a shift of 2 PM to 11 PM
·        Expert skills in Microsoft Access and in database management techniques
·        Demonstrated competency in SQL Server, SSIS, Transact SQL and VBA. Advanced skills in Excel VBA
·        Experience with Remote Desktop environment and multi-user databases
·        Exceptional organizational, analytical, communications and interpersonal skills
·        Must be able to prioritize, take ownership of projects, and drive them forward to completion
·        Must demonstrate sound judgment
·        Attention to detail is an essential skill
·        Ability to work independently on projects and contribute in team discussions
·        Fluent in written and spoken English
 
Preferred:
·        Experience of working on SharePoint, Tableau and Python would be plus
