Key skills required for the job are:

  • Linux Admin-L3 (Mandatory)
  • Veritas Volume Manager - VxVM-L3
  • Veritas cluster Server-L2

3 to 6 years of Admin and troubleshooting Skills of Unix Operating System mostly on Linux.

Expert level knowledge of SFS and VA Server 

Dealing with Complex/Escalated issues

Escalated Linux issues 

Experience in handling production issues in complex Unix environments

Technical knowledge of supporting critical services.

Strong experience of planning and implementing production service architectures in a multi-domain, multi-platform and multi-site environment

Proven experience in handling large teams in productivity driven environment.

Proven experience in managing and building relationship with large international accounts and customer service

Worked in a infrastructure critical environment and understands how technology adds value to the business and ultimately the end customer

Communication and interpersonal skills

Working across cultures

Understanding of the processes for Agile desired not mandatory. 

Telecommunication industry or equivalent experience in a demanding multi-project role is desired .

Practical technical knowledge gained from a hands-on role supporting mission critical services.

Knowledge of techniques for diagnosis and resolution of service issues.

Understanding of the configuration concepts affecting service stability, availability and performance.

Ability to work under pressure, takes ownership, and delivers to commitments. 

Ability to build relationships and work as part of a team. 

Ability to mentor Junior staff ( L1 and L2 resources )
