A candidate in a Financial Analyst Job takes over immense responsibilities. The candidate willing to take on the role of a financial analyst should be ready to take part in compensation management as well as semi-annual incentive compensation payments. S/he will be expected to offer financial and analytical support for the incentive compensation accounting and predicting practises. A financial analyst will also have to respond to ad-hoc projects related to incentive compensation programs. Apart from that, the candidate will be called upon to assist with all the new and upcoming business processes and work in tandem with finance and business managers. From managing cash reconciliations to looking into payment date accounting to catering to monthly reporting and report production, it all falls under the purview of a financial analyst job candidate. Apart from this, the aspirant will also have to do daily modelling, analysis and reporting and financial analysis. Accountable for the general ledger accounting and reconciliation, the aspirant will also have to delve into financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance will be a pre-requisite for a candidate applying for the role of a financial analyst. Additional degrees such as CPA/MBA would add to the profile of the candidate. The candidate will be required to showcase a thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) along with a strong knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.
