Keyskills: Responsibilities: • Network infrastructure configuration, support and management including availability, connectivity, performance, security and protection • Troubleshoot network issues and ensure rapid resolution • Assist in the development of strategy and design for the company’s network infrastructure • Work closely with members of the applications and systems teams • Provide support to the IT service desk and desktop support teams • Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation • Development automation strategies for making the network more efficient • Coordinate vendor escalations and support for critical issues, acting as a bridge between the vendors' engineering resources and Blackstone internal staff • Research new and emerging technologies for use at Blackstone • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures for network operations processes • Assist in the management of all network infrastructure assets • Assist in efforts to prepare for and participate in audits regarding the network infrastructure • Work on IT projects as assigned Core Technical Skills Required: • Network troubleshooting, design, planning and implementation. • Experience with network tools (sniffer, syslog, NetFlow, TCPDUMP, Wireshark etc.). • Automation and scripting experience with Bash, Perl or Python a plus. • IP-based video and voice unified communication systems ʋoth H.323 and SIP); Avaya and Polycom a plus. • Experience with Linux system administration a plus • Experience implementing cloud based solutions a plus ( AWS, Azure, Rackspace etc ) Hardware: • Cisco routing / switching˿irewalls ʊll models), Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba WiFi, Riverbed, AvayaVoIP, F5 LTM / GTM˺PM, Bluecoat proxies Routing & Switching: • BGP, MPLS, OSPF, VPC, 802.1Q trunking, etherchannel, spanning tree, VTP, Familiarity with concepts of SDN The ideal candidate will have: • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. • Forward thinker. Ability to transform technical solutions into solutions that deliver business value • Must be a collaborative team player. • 10 + years of proven track record and experience • Financial industry experience preferred. • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills in order to establish strong relationships to communicate effectively and deal with all types of customers. • Excellent work ethic and work product. • Participate in the network team’s on-call rotation. • Will be required at times to work outside usual hours of business in order to limit user-impact during emergencies, maintenance and upgrades.
