Position: Zonal Sales Head
Department: Sales Function
Report to Position: National Sales Manager
Location: Mumbai/New Delhi /Chennai/Hyderabad/Bangalore-( only one position in South)
Required: A university / Bachelor's degree. MBA in marketing or business studies is preferred; a minimum of 12- 15 years of related experience
Experience / Skill Requirements / Competencies:
(a) Proven leadership skills. - Supervisory or management experience, preferably of a sales staff.
(b) Working knowledge of healthcare, and market segments within an assigned sales territory.
(c) Demonstrated record of achievement in a prior sales position.
(d) Strong closing skills.
(e) Excellent oral and written communication skills
(f) Strong interpersonal skills.
(g) Ability to learn and retain product specific information and utilize to position the features and benefits to customers.
(h) Computer literate with knowledge of all Microsoft Office Applications.
(i) Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend in-formation.
(j) Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
Summary: (a) Manages sales of the companys products and services of all the verticals viz:
Critical care, Cardiovascular & Renal care
(b) Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning,
Deployment and management of sales personnel.
(c) Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and
JOB Description :
A. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(i) Provides quality leadership for Company, internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding Company Values at all times: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facili-tating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
(ii) Achieves the Regions revenue and profitability as specified within Region. Establishes an envi-ronment and foundation for future sales growth. Sells and teaches others how to sell value and solutions to Company customers.
(iii) Directs the selling activities within the Region, inclusive of resource deployment and customer interactions. Prioritizes effectively and in accordance with Company objectives.
(iv) Leads the Sales Team, inclusive of managing performance, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
(v) Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of regional sales and profitability. Disseminate information to regional sales representatives, corporate marketing and sales operations.
(vi) Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan for all team members in support of national objectives
(vii) Performs sales activities on all major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in con-sultation with appropriate authorities
(viii) Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
(ix) Provides quarterly results assessments of sales staffs productivity.
(x) Formulates all sales policies, practices and procedures under the corporate & regulatory guide-lines.
(xi) Collaborates with Channel partners if any to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
(xii) Educates sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presenta-tion strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
(xiii) Coordinate with the marketing team to organise educational & scientific programmes /CME for
Clinicians and Nurses in the areas of existing & new accounts
(xiv) Review expenses and recommends economies.
(xv) Account Receivables management
Internal: Operations, Finance, HR & Marketing
External: Channel Partners, HCPs,
Travel Requirements: YES (75% of the time)
Language Skills Required:
Speaking: English , Hindi, local regional language
Writing/Reading: English & Hindi
