Job Description:
  • System Analyst support for a wide range of applications and services including deployment, support, maintenance, and monitoring. 
  • Perform initial research, prioritization, and troubleshooting of Operations Incidents (OIs) and/or Operations Service Requests (OSRs). 
  • Ensure escalation of issues beyond capability and/or scope of responsibilities to Service Engineers and Developers. 
  • Familiar with service management escalations, escalation routing and the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) associated with escalations. 
  • Familiar with the dependency on business impact and urgency in determining priority levels of service tickets. 
  • Provide first point of contact for user notifications relating to scheduled maintenance or unscheduled downtime. 
  • Effectively manage multiple issues, accurately prioritize tickets, and manage issues to ensure timely resolution through established incident and problem management practices. 
  • Resolve client issues within the scope and responsibility of document remediation steps application Troubleshooting Guide (TSG). 
  • Provide 24x7 on-call rotation applications/services support for all high severity issues using independent judgment in selecting troubleshooting methods and techniques to mitigate issues including maintenance, deployments, and break-fix activities. 
  • Responsible for identifying, maintaining, and reviewing deployment documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Troubleshooting Guides (TSGs). 
  • Ensure quality in global incident status communications/correspondence with System Engineering groups and customers via email, instant messaging, and telephone. 
  • Manage daily service availability, incident analysis, and service analysis. 
  • Actively participation in outage post mortems, service scorecards, and other Quality of Service (QOS) activities. 
  • Implement and maintain services and systems to comply with established security standards. 
  • Implement and maintain monitoring plans agreed upon for various services and systems. 
  • Support server patching, password resets, and general reoccurring site and server maintenance. 
  • Adhere to established SLOs and SLAs. 

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years Windows Server administration in enterprise environment. Includes NTFS permissions, OS security patching and upgrading, Identity management, drive management and server troubleshooting. 
  • 4+ years supporting multi-tiered applications in an enterprise environment. 
  • 2+ years working in an enterprise network environment including support of DHCP and DNS servers. 
  • 2+ years supporting Windows Hyper-V service, both standalone and with Virtual Machine Manager (VMM). 
  • 2+ years supporting web applications. 
  • 1+ years supporting SQL servers including SQL installations and basic queries, etc. 
  • 2+ years supporting Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) in an enterprise environment. 
  • 2+ years familiarity with PowerShell and/or other scripting experience. 
  • Microsoft Office applications experience including Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • 1+ years Visual Studio Online (VSO) experience 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active Directory (AD) management including experience in finding objects and how to derive GPO impact to a device. 
  • Distributed File System Namespace (DFS-N) and Distributed File System Replication (DFS-R) experience. 
  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), System Center Orchestrator, System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM), and Altiris experience. 
  • Experience with bug submission and tracking with engineering and development teams. 
  • 1+ years automation experience with either patch deployment, server deployment or System Center management, and deployment.
