Job Description
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

1. Management of the Quality Assurance Analysts

2. Adherence to and improvement of established Quality Assurance standards

3. Preparation and execution of training plans for QA staff

4. Review of and/or selection of testing methodologies

5. Management and execution of systems and applications testing including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, Performance Testing and Test Automation when applicable

6. Design and execution of end-to-end test processes for complex enterprise solutions

7. Definition of roles of team members within the testing process

8. Participation in the early phases of the project lifecycle to ensure that business and functional requirements can be translated into a test plan

9. Participation in a lead role on large project teams to understand business and functional requirements, prepare test plans, generate test cases, manage the test lifecycle and provide risk-based analysis of application quality

10. Plan the use of automated tools to execute performance and functional testing

11. Preparation of cost and effort estimates for testing activities

12. Documentation of test results

13. Coordination with the project team to ensure remediation of issues identified during the test lifecycle

SUMMARY:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:



•Manage and lead Quality Assurance team

• Mentor and train Quality Assurance Analysts on application functionality, testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle

• Organize and lead team meetings

• Provide input on hiring / firing of team members

• Prepare formal performance evaluations of team members

Skills:

Required

• Knowledge of Project and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies

• Thorough knowledge of information systems concepts and terminology

• Experience in development and execution of test scenarios in both small scale and enterprise wide systems

• Strong work ethic with an emphasis on service and quality

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong conflict resolution skills

• Experience with SQL queries and data analysis

• Proven ability to bring complex test plans to timely and effective completion

• Ability to effectively solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision

• Ability to organize workload of multiple team members for effective implementation

• Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity

• Ability to function as an effective team member and team leader

• Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves

• Motivated self-starter with initiative

Preferred

• Experience in Oracle E-Business Suite ERP and/or Linux/Unix Oracle Applications environments

• Experience in use of automated test tools and test management software. Experience with Selenium, Load Runner, Jmeter, Oracle Applications Testing Suite (OATS), Oracel Apex, Test Director/Quality Center, Quick Test Professional

• Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines

Experience:

Required

• A minimum of (10) years of experience in Technology/IT

• (4) years of experience Managing a Quality Assurance team

Preferred

• Experience with international or direct selling business

• Experience with complex, multi-national application implementations
