We are a retained search firm and our fee is for professional services rendered. Payment of our fees is not contingent upon hiring of one of our candidates and is payable in three instalments (at search initiation, on presentation of the best fit candidates and on selection). Our fee is a
Percentage of the first year’s projected total salary/bonus compensation of each candidate employed, as described in the letter of employment or by approved position specification. This fee structure applies to all candidates hired as a result of our search effort. Projected total salary/bonus compensation includes base salary, target and sign-on bonuses and other incentive compensation.
We believe that every search is unique and the time frame to complete the search is dependent on various factors. Before beginning the search we discuss this with our client and arrive at a mutually agreeable time frame. Typically we target to complete the search within 4 –8 weeks.
Search Methodology Briefing
We will work closely with you in order to gain a clear understanding of your organization, its sector position (including markets and competition), the position and the necessary skills and qualifications of the profiles sought. We prefer to work as a
business consultants and Partners rather than Executive Search company with focus on Results, Quality and Timely Delivery
The process begins by signing a letter of engagement with HRConnectOne. The intent of the letter is to outline our understanding of the recruitment process and key elements of success. This is done in conjunction with the needs and requirements of the firm and usually follows some industry standards. We insist on two elements to our work, however: a commitment fee from the firm and a performance fee for our
work. We strongly feel these two elements ensure we have the attention of the hiring manager and that the firm we work for will not be held to ransom for unrealized gains.
After the hiring manager retains our services, we begin the task of defining the requirement. Often we are asked to assess a team and its strengths and weaknesses in relation to competition before we begin recruiting. Should the assignment be an overall mandate to build certain business areas, we will work with the hiring manager to understand what is in place and then how it compares with the competition or lack of competition, as the case may be. We will prepare a corporate profile on your organization along with adequate literature, position brief and an outline search strategy agreed mutually by us. This will become the blueprint for the search .Our experience and intimate market knowledge will enable us to assess realistic demands and expectations.
HRConnectOne typically employs a two-pronged approach in its search strategy:
ϖ Quick and Comprehensive. Firstly, the research effort will
systematically identify a list of institutions where potential candidates are likely to be found. This includes mapping the market of competitors. We call this as our Mapping Sheet. It involves mostly secondary research to understand who the players are and how they function.
ϖ Secondly, we will use our information sources; both secondary and primary, to identify within this target list appropriate individuals and begin to inform them of the opportunity. Simultaneously, we create an exhaustive list of professionals who potentially fit our candidate profile and begin to meet them to ensure we have the entire market covered. We call this the source list, which represents the universe of candidates appropriate to the position. We will prioritize and screen this source list of potential candidates with the client to determine if the list includes any candidates whom the client is not interested in approaching.
We will hold regular review sessions with you as appropriate in order to detail targeted organizations and individuals and provide feedback on market reaction towards your organization and the said position.
Qualified candidates identified during the course of the search will be interviewed and evaluated against the agreed profiles. Whenever possible, we will also do an informal referencing and qualification checks for short listed candidates.
Based on our in-depth interviews, we will present the best of the candidates from the initial target list and arrange meetings with the candidates that the client finds most interesting. We will provide the client with their detailed resumes as well as our assessment of their strengths and weaknesses.
We will guide and lead the candidate throughout the interview process, maintaining a close contact with you and the preferred candidate at all times so as to finalize the structure of an attractive compensation package, and to resolve any issues arising. Of course, the final hiring decision is the client's alone and our involvement at this stage will depend on how the client feels we can be most effective.
After presentation we will continue the referencing process and review comments made by referees with you. Once an offer has been made, further referencing will be carried out at our end.
Because the success of HRConnectOne rests on the performance of the candidates our clients hire, we feel it is extremely important to keep in touch with both the client and the candidate following the placement of that individual. For a period of about six months, Global Sage checks with both parties to ensure successful integration into our client's culture.
