Job Description
Position: CEO
Qualification: BE/B Tech or Any other qualification relevant to Logistics/SCM (MBA would be added advantage)
Exp: 20yrs+ Exp in Logistics Business
Job Location: Hyderabad
Company: E Commerce Logistics Business of a Large Group company.

Job Objective: To ensure long term viability and profitability of Logistics Business, enhance the corporate image and drive
organization values. Scan the business environment for new opportunities, formulate action plans and monitor their
effective deployment.

Strategic
  • Provide guidance and direction to translate Organization Vision into strategy and business direction
  • Lead the Management Council to evaluate proposals and plan business pipeline
  • Direct the development of the Annual Business Plan and ratify the same
  • Lead achievement of target growth and returns as per business plan
  • Identify changes in the global and national economy and analyse the impact of these changes on the business
  • Survey the environment to benchmark best practices and latest developments in the E- logistics industry
  • Continuously evaluate merger and acquisition possibilities for achieving a premier position in the E-logistics industry
  • Evaluate possibilities for JVs/ Partnerships and technical collaborations; review progress and ensure agreed upon returns
  • Develop and monitor risk management strategies and action plans, including Corporate Governance
  • Act as a nodal point of information dissemination, guidance and support for organization wide initiatives and change management activities
  • Own and develop high potential talent and create a leadership pipeline for Logistics Business
Operational
  • Finalize product wise business plans and monitor their implementation to ensure robust growth and efficient operations across countries
  • Continuously review company operations to ensure high operational efficiency, quality and service delivery
  • Develop and nurture high level relations with national and international government authorities, logistics sector and related organizations to create a pipeline of business opportunities. Support Corporate Strategy and Planning and Division Heads for lead closure/execution
  • Work with Product Heads to drive innovation through understanding of industry trends
  • Facilitate the achievement of leveraging sourcing in order to attain operation excellence
  • Evaluate performance of all products on operational and financial performance
  • Undertake regular competitor / marketplace analysis and develop actions plans to address the same
  • Periodically review overall compliance with regulatory norms
  • Review MIS/financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives. Revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions
  • Develop appropriate work culture through communication processes and through leading by example
  • Promote the logistics brand through written articles, personal appearances in industrial forums/conferences and media
Financial
  • Drive overall top-line growth for E- logistics
  • Drive cost saving initiatives and ensure cost effective management of resources to meet bottom line targets
  • Lead finalization of business targets by products, based on projections submitted by product heads
  • Conduct a business portfolio analyses on a regular basis, develop ways to project the returns from current investments and assets to ensure that the organization meets its growth objectives
People
  • Develop policies related to people, processes and systems and work closely with Division/ Department Heads for execution of the same
  • Interact regularly with Product Heads to identify and remove any obstacles to the fostering of an efficient and value driven work culture at the countries
  • Oversee succession planning for all key positions at an organization level
  • Evaluate performance of senior executives for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and their contribution in attaining objectives
  • Finalize the organization level/ overall manpower plan for logistics; Actively participate in recruitment of top/senior roles across the organization
